    Default X-Books Awards voting 2022

Another year has almost come and gone for Marvel’s mightiest mutants, and through there were great debuts, sad deaths and awesome stories told. Writers and artists both brought their best, and sometimes, their not-so-best to the table, and now it’s your chance to vote for your most (and least) favorites of 2022!

    X-Books voting 2022

    Voting Rules:
    • Let us not start debating each others votes, or how much we liked or dislikes everything, there are many other threads in which we can debate. Let us just vote.
    • When you miss a name/title, simply vote for them and they will be added to the overviews. No use to ask them being added, that will only happen when someone actually voted for them.
    • For any category, you can allocate a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place candidate for any award. 1st place nods are worth 4 points, 2nd place two points and 3rd place receives 1 point. You will have to nominate 3 per category to make your vote count. If you only submit one candidate, they will not get full scores.
    • Please remember, if you insist on posting images of the covers, rather than just stating the issue number of the cover you’re nominating, that CBR allows limited images per post.
    • When it comes time to vote, just reply to this post, delete out this opening part, and fill in the ballot below under “Categories”. Or, copy and paste the category parts below.
    • In case totals will be the same, once the voting ended, the amount first place votes will be used as a tiebreaker, should there be one.

Please note, this year I started earlier as I will go on holidays as off Friday, till the end of the year. Meaning I will still update your votes, only less regular then previous years.

Hero with the most outstanding performances this year
Not your general favorites, but the ones that were the best of 2022!
Who deserves to be voted the best hero of the year? Who played their roles really well this year? Was it one of the new Captains or Counsil members of the Krakoa, or the X-Men who finally appeared in an X-title since years, or is it one of those members who got attention after a long time? It's up to you.

    Suggestions/ Voted on so far:
    Beast in X-Force
Cyclops (for him vs. the Progenitor Celestial
    Destiny in Immortal X-Men
Emma Frost (against Kingpin and Hellfire hostess)
    Firestar (for winning the vote)
    Forge (getting Laura out)
Iceman (for beating Terrax and finding true love)
Jean Grey for facing her demons and establishing the Phoenix foundation
    Magneto (for killing Tarn)
    Magneto and Logus powers combined
    Magneto in Judgment day
    Nightcrawler in Judgment Day
    Nova (being a real hero)
Storm (for ruler of Sol/ XM Red)
    Sunspot
Synch for stepping up a notch
    Wiz-Kid (beig double agent)
Wolverine (Logan, for XLoW and XDoW)

Hero with the worst performances this year
Not your general dislikes, but the ones that were the worst of 2022!
To bad you cannot vote for those who we voted for every year, like Kid Omega, Fantomex en Glob, as none of them were really present. So which charecter performance did you have hated most this year?

    Suggestions/ Voted on so far:
    Aurora, being useless in Marauders
Beast (for his ways in X-Force)
    Bishop, being useless in Marauders
Captain 'Betsy' Britain (for being what she is in Knights of X)
Curse (for being a cruel murderer)
    Colossus
    Cyclops revealing Krakoa secrets
    Domino
    Gambit dying vs Furies
Havok (X-Men behaviour and Dark Web)
    Kid Omega (dead bodies closet)
Kwannon. Has gone from badass leader of Hellions to roster filler on the Marauders.
Nature Girl (becoming a mess murderer)
    Nightcrawler (drunk)
    Omega Red (out of character)
    Rogue, being useless in X-Men
    Sage (for getting adicted)
    Wolverine (for being Beast victim)
    Xavier for his general arrogance

    Breakout Star of the Year
Choose three characters who are long time X-characters who you feel made the jump from the C or D-List, to the forefront, skirting the edge of, had exciting focus, or development, or possibly joining the ranks of the A-List of Marvel’s Mutants. Please mind that A-listers don't break out, they are suppose to be front and center. Who gets the Rising Star Award this year? Please Note: A character returning from death or limbo, should be in the Comeback category and a character returning from death or limbo, should be in the Comeback category.

    Debut Character of the Year
Choose three characters who had their first appearance in a comic book in 2020, that you feel as a result, have a big future in the X-verse. Did the cruel Moneta in Prisoner X make a great debut, or did you prefer one of the future hybrid mutants like Cardinal or Rasputin? If you have other nominees, just vote for them and I will of course add them to this list.

    Nominees:
    Arnab Chakladar (who helped Moira)
    Betel the Red
    Captain Krakoa
    Escapade
    Fisher King (X-Men Red)
    Graig of NASA
    Loolo (Blue Arokko kid)
    Mother Righteous
    Nameless
    Ora Serrata (Great Ring)
    Pr!tz the Red
    Syzya of the Smoke
    Third Eye
    Threshold
    Tumult, the Trickster Chimaera
    Weaponless Zsen

Guest Star performance of the Year
The X-Men do have sometimes some guest appearances from Marvel heroes and villains from other corners of the Marvel Universe. They might socialize with them, or fight with or against the X-Men. Which non-X-Men character that made a great guest appearance in one of the X-Titles was you favorite visitor?

    Some Suggestions:
    Black Pather (Green X-Men)
    Captain America (Hellfire Gala 2022)
    Doom (ellfire Gala)
    Elektra (Devil's Reign: X-Men)
    Iron-Man at Hellfire Gala
Jane Forester- Valkyrie (Death of Wolverine)
    Kingpin (Devil's Reign: X-Men)
    Kraven the Hunter
    Mary Jane Watson (Gala)
    MODOK in X-Men
    Namor (Green X-Men)
    Nick Fury (Wolverine: Patch)
Nova (Richard Rider) in X-Men Red
    Rocket Raccoon (X-Men)
    Scarlet Witch (Hellfire Gala)
    Silver Surfer (Iceman Inf. Comic)
    Spider-Man at Hellfire Gala
