A really great yet subtle story about art, relationships, careers, growing older and moving on.

I have this and I think it's amazing, although mine has a different cover. I wanna say they turned it into a stage play a few years back?

They did. A fine musical which I swiped some lines from in my post. There were many covers, but this one, to me, seemed to cover Alison's relationship with her father in earlier, happier times.

I went looking through my graphic novels and came across this one. One of the few Kickstarters I ever did. I was quite excited by it.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Love Snarfquest, not sure this qualifies as an OGN as it collects the serialized strip that appeared in Dragon Magazine. We have the edition of it when it was first released. Loved Elmore's Snarfquest throughout it's run in Dragon (the official D&D mag for those unfamiliar with it) It may have added some new material when it was remastered and kickstarted, but it was definitely a collection and not an OGN.

Comic fans get the comics their buying habits deserve.

You are right, damn it all. It was the Snarfquest next to that one which was the Original Graphic Novel. I will change the picture to that one. Thank you for that.
