Okay, just got around to reading this… it was a bit crazy and all over the place, since I haven’t been reading the story, but I think I followed for the most part. The Stryfe reveal at the end was bonkers, and begs some really big questions about how mutants evolved on Earth in the first place, the first mutant age, etc. Could Stryfe have been the cause of that via time travel? Is that the implication?
Not sure I love the story, and definitely don’t love the art, but it’s posing some big existential questions about mutantkind and its origins for sure. And putting Cable’s batshit crazy, “Chaos Bringer” clone right smack dab in the middle of it too. So I’ll keep reading…“Not as good as I once was… but I’m as good, once, as I ever was.”
