What if Diana's dad was either Doctor Midnite or Hepheastus?

The former grew out of a what if Hippolyta got involved in WW2 idea.

What if Diana was Hippolyta's teen sidekick in WWII?

Dr. Lyta Frankenstein, desperate for a daughter, creates one with body parts of the recently deceased. Using science and/or magic, she successfully brings creation to life--naming her Diana. But the gods deem her undead wonder an abomination and send their agents to destroy them both. Using her supernatural strength, Diana must protect not only her mother, but a world that considers her a monster against corruption and brutality.
(could make for a fun Halloween season release)

By chance (or destiny) Air Force Captain Stephanie "Stevie" Trevor crashes onto the uncharted island of Themyscira. She is nursed back to health and embraced by the Amazons as one of their own. Learning their ways, she gains superhuman abilities with their training and returns home to protect the innocent and fight evil. Now she must juggle and reconcile the life she had with her new one as the Amazon's Champion.

I'd prefer that. I was a big fan of WW being a big mentor to her when post COIE. The one time DC goes an interesting route and they reboot it

    - Hippolyta's request for a child goes ignored by the gods... or so it appears when a girl named Donna washes ashore of Themyscira. After being trained by Amazon fighters, she sets off to find the truth of her origins while defending the innocent whenever she can.

    - At the age of 13, Cassie Sandsmark discovered that her father was Zeus, the king of Olympus. Taken into Olympus and raised as one of the gods, Cassie finds herself facing the test of her life when her father sets her against Diana, the princess of the Amazons.

What if Vanessa as the Silver Swan was a hero?

What if Heracles was a public superhero by the time Diana left Themyscira?

    A couple of ideas:

    1. After leaving Paradise Island to fight in World War II her Amazon powers is taken away by the gods but because of her courage to keep fighting she ends up being given a Green Lantern ring

    2. The daughter of Heracles and a British noble woman who is given to the Amazons after her mother is killed by an enemy of Heracles and he feels his daughter needs to be protected and trained by warriors.

    3. Diana Mary Prince-Batson and her twin brother Billy share the power of SHAZAM making them the Wonder Twins with her as Wonder Woman and him Captain Wonder

    4. An American soldier who finds enchanted items to fight criminals and monsters (less super being and more vigilante using weapons)

    Mystical Items:
Tiara of Athena - Gives the wearer ability to know multpile languages, resistance to telepathy/mind control
Bracelets of Artemis - The ability to block any projectile attack
Boots of Hermes - Super speed
Earrings of Aphrodite - Manipulate the pheromones of any creature, Allows Diana to make people see the most beautiful creature in the world instead of what she actually looks like, a muscular Greek-American woman.
Ring of Apollo - Heal any wounds
Armor of Poseidon - Protection from extreme weather.
Necklace of Hades - Able to see and manipulate souls
Sword of Ares - Able to cut through any force or object
Staff of Demetia - Makes things grow
Lasso of Zeus - Able control any creature within its reach

That was my idea for an evil Wonder Woman counterpart lol: The daughter of Ares and Athena who was raised secretly by the Amazons on Manslaughter Island, because Zeus was foretold she would kill the Gods so he threw the baby off of Olympus, she leaves the island fights alongside nazis and declares herself the Nazi Goddess/Goddess of Genocide taking the name Mother Manslaughter (WW to MM).

Heh, I keep having ideas about Kryptonians on Themiscyra. Supergirl has been done, and while short, was a cool idea. I was thinking about the other ones. Mala(yes the DCAU Mala)... what if... Superman had sent her to Reformation Island instead of the Phantom Zone?

DCAU Mala and the Amazon Mala interacting might be funny actually

There's an entire list of Kryptonians who would be also valid for a story like that though.

For Want of a Nail - Steve's plane suffers a malfunction that causes to crash just before it gets into Themyscira's viewpoint and so dies with Diana and the rest of the Amazons being none the wiser. Decades later, the mystical barriers around Themyscira begin to suddenly fade away and it's revealed in the interim with no Wonder Woman that Ares succeeded in destroying the world via nuclear apocalypse and surviving heroes and humanity living in a Mad Max-style world overseen by the new God of Olympus, Ares.

Diana now becomes the Wonder Woman for a very different Man's World while Themyscira (the last hospitable place on Earth) finds itself becoming the hope of refugees and ambitious warlords.

    Wonder Woman: Spirit of Vengeance:
Diana fails to save the world resulting in the destruction of 90% of humanity and Themyscira. Now she travels the universe as the new host of the Spectre searching for the one who caused the destruction of her world in the first place. Can Diana reconcile between the Spectre's lust for blood and the peace ways the Amazons taught her or is her soul forever lost in a whirlpool of pain and misery?

The Many Gods of Amazons: What if the Amazons were saved by a different pantheon instead? What if they were adopted by the Norse Gods? Or the Presence/Spectre? Or the ancient Egyptian Gods? Or the Mayan Gods? How different would their mission be?

The Amazons of Space: Gods and Mortals but after escaping their enslavement from Hercules, the Amazons were kidnapped by aliens and this time Wonder Woman is a space adventurer protecting other galaxies.

    Star Riders

A remake of the Wonder Woman and the Star Riders concept but with Vanessa in place of Diana.

In this version, the Star Riders are young girls mystically gifted with spiritual powers that allow to transform into beings inspired by myths and stories.

There's this weird idea I've had bouncing around in my head that's half formed. Diana is hidden away in man's world as a baby and grows up not knowing her heritage. When Ares attacks her, she discovers her powers and learns her heritage because someone from Paradise Island shows up to save her.

At this point, just having Wonder Woman be the character she was designed to be qualifies as an Elseworlds.

For a particular moment to explore, I would want to go back and see the Max Lord and Amazons Attack executed as Rucka intended them and with consistent, top tier visual support.

    Think Wonder Woman meets Berserk.
Really like this idea. Now I'm mad it's not real.
