    Sentinels 2099

The cybernetic tech created for the Omega Sentinel program never went away, and eventually someone updated it a bit to make it so it can be more easily added to people who want a bit of an "upgrade". Most of these are part of the "Sentinel Security" firm who work as guards at many major businesses.

2099 Sentinels could work. Kind of reminds me of Ultron in the final Savage Avengers arc taking over 2099 and using a combination of Deathlok's tech with the tech comprising his body to make everyone into cyborgs controlled by him.

A universe with familiar faces, but no superpowers. Nothing. Nada. Zero. But there's no need for it: there are plenty of examples of how to do action without them. For example, some characters and their similarities...

Captain America -> (Many WWII films to choose)
Guardians of the Galaxy -> Star Trek
    Thor -> Vikings
    Wolverine -> Sin City
    Spider-Man - Riverdale
    Nuke -> Rambo
Cyclops & family -> Modern Family

Gender and/or Alignment swap for all heroes and Villains. And there’d be a sprinkling of Marvel Dc amalgam characters who would appear as they did originally, Peter Parker’s counter part here would be a woman or evil perhaps both. Sasquatch would have always been Wanda Langowski. Electro is a super hero. Instead of the Mighty Avengers. Maybe you’d have the Justice League of Avengers.

Transformers-like AU where a Superhuman World War has consumed the planet, and the Avengers (led by Captain America) have evacuated Earth as they were on the verge of losing the war. However, as they were escaping they end up getting stranded in an alternate universe where superpowers don't exist, alongside their enemies - the Thunderbolts. And as the two factions renew the war on this 'New Earth', everyone knows one thing: the universe will never be the same.

Here's the starting rosters for both teams:

    THE AVENGERS:
    Captain America (Steve Rogers)
    Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers)
    Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
    The Thing (Ben Grimm)
    Iron Man (Tony Stark)
    Storm (Ororo Munroe)
    Wolverine (James Howlett)

    THE THUNDERBOLTS:
    Ultron (not the og one)
    Star (Ripley Ryan)
    Superior Octopus (Otto Octavius)
    The Hulk (Bruce Banner?)
    Taskmaster (Anthony Masters)
    Mr. Sinister (Nathaniel Essex)
    Deadpool (Wade Wilson)

(Putting these teams together was a surprisingly long and painful process btw )

EDIT: I'm now rethinking Ultron lmao help

What If always had some pretty good alternate universes that I always wanted to see move fowrad (and that might even been creatively better than what we got on the regular MU if not for the business aspects of thye thing). However, there were some that were never done, and the concept sort of twisted into something that was not, IMHO, as fun. Here are some I'd like to have seen:
What If the Invaders had never disbanded?
Captain America is lost at sea at the end of WW II, however, Bucky manages to survive, and that small variable is enough to change the fate of the world and so many of its heroes. Bucky stays at William’s Naslund’s side when he is chosen to cover for Rogers, and when the second Captain America falls in battle, it’s an older James Buchanan Barnes who assumes the role, leading the Invaders for many decades, until his death. Namor doesn’t leave the team, nor disappears for many decades, and he, as well as Atlantean science, are instrumental in preventing the deterioration of the android form of Human Torch. Eventually, both give up their places in the team to their successors. The Invaders thrive along the decades, new members coming and going, such as the Monster Hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, or the Canadian adventurers Judd and Logan. Their contributions to the advancement of society prevent the failed Richard’s lunar flight, as well as the birth of the Fantastic Four, and the gamma bomb experiments that led to the creation of the Hulk. They also strive to keep the humans/mutants tensions low, though a battle against the mutant supremacist Apocalypse has Dr. Donald Blake as one of its causalities. However, at the beginning of the 21st century, King Namor’s incessant efforts to find the original Captain America finally pay-off, and Steve Rogers returns to lead the team he founded just in time for humanity’s darkest hours, with the emergence of the Inhuman – Eternals alliance of hidden races, with the treaty celebrated by their new leaders, Maximus and Virako, and its attempts to conquer the planet, to save it by ruling it. On top of that, the usual bad guys are still doing their own things, and the Thin Man and his team of rogue operatives continue to complicate things.

    Current Team:

Captain America - recently unfrozen, Steve Rogers leads once more the Invaders after the death of his partner and successor, James Barnes. Still coming to terms to the changes of the world, Cap must step up to lead the Invaders through some of the team’s greatest challenges in all of its existence.
Namora- Team powerhouse, standing in for her cousin, Namor. As unruly and headstrong as her cousin, Namora nonetheless is a great asset to the team. 50 T
Spark - Teresa Raymond, granddaughter of the deceased Thomas Raymond, the Human Flame. Shy and insecure. Not sure if she belongs with the team.
Vision - Arkus, other-dimensional law-enforcement officer. Long-lived, experienced and powerful. Even if often a bit too much enigmatic, a good friend and confidant for the returned Captain America. 40 T
Dyna-Mite - Dr. Bill Foster, who studied, duplicated and perfected the Dyna-Mite shrinking process. Eager to show his worth. Team resident scientist.
The Mighty Destroyer - Former ex-con and guinea pig Luke Cage revealed his identity to the world after proving his innocence. Never backs down from a challenge. 25 T
Miss America - Carol Danvers, subjected to an alien device that gave her extraordinary abilities. Officially led the team when Cap returned, however, soon lost the de facto leadership to the seasoned veteran. Not very happy to be relegated to second in command, nonetheless, does her job. 25 T

    Reserve Members -
King Namor, the Submariner - Namor Mackenzie. His duties as ruler of the prosperous kingdom of Atlantis prevent him from continuing on as a member of the team. Still, he is always on call for when his power is needed. 75 T
The Human Torch - Jim Hammond. Retired and mostly handling bureaucratic protocols while living a bit afar from humanity in general.
Spitfire - Jacqueline Falsworth, rejuvenated speedster. Protects Great Britain alongside her new partner, the heir to her father’s mantle.
Union Jack - Joseph Chapman, the resourceful 3rd generation British champion. Alongside Spitfire, manages a network of new British operatives, such as the vampire hunter Blade, the English spy, Wisdom and others in the special M-13 division.
The Black Widow - Natasha Romanoff, former Russian spy and wife of the deceased James Barnes. Mostly retired, however, still available when there is a need for her special talents.
Blazing Skull - Mark Todd, mystical powerhouse. Helping his new partner, Elsa Bloodstone, daughter of his deceased best friend, Ulysses, in her monster hunting mission. 40 T
Citzen V - John Watkins III, grandson of the original. Prefers to work alone, especially after being pushed out of the team by the ambitious Miss America.
Silver Scorpion - Bethany Cabe, armored bodyguard to Tony Stark, the Invaders benefactor. 60 T

Liberty Legion - Underground group led by the Thin Man. They work outside of the system, and often find themselves at odds with the Invaders with their official ties with the American government.

The Thin Man – Bruce Dickson. A conspiracy theorist with incredible resources, knowledge of advanced technology and stretching powers. His powers protect his body from the ravages of old age, however, some wonder is the same can be said about his brilliant mind.
Blue Shield – Joe Cartelli. Powerful force-field and enhanced physical attributes. The new blood of the team, disillusioned with the Invaders after being rejected by them as a member.
Major Mapleleaf - Louis Sadler, super-strong and almost invulnerable, aging retarded. An old acquaintance of the Thin Man, without much in his life after the death of his eldest son, the veteran Canadian hero joins the team, greatly enhancing its power. 40 T
Andromeda - Super-strong Atlantean, daughter of Attuma. In search of a cause following the death of her father at the hands of King Namor. The Thin Man develops a technology that allows her to survive long periods out of the water. 35 T
Jack Frost - Immortal son of Ice-giants. Aimless in the world, joins his old teammate in his mission.
Hawkeye – When his attempts at becoming a super-hero go awry, and he is mistaken for a super-villain by the Silver Scorpion, Clint Barton is forced to go underground until he can clear his name. However, he gets drafted into the Liberty Legion before that can happen. A rebel by nature, he ends up questioning quite a lot the Thin Man’s agenda, and his charismatic nature captivates many of his teammates, making him an unforeseen pebble in the leader of the Liberty Legion’s shoe.
Tara - Female attempt to recreate the Human Torch. Stolen by the new Liberty Legion in its first mission. Her loyalty is payment for her freedom.

Among the many threats the Invaders have faced over the years, such as Apocalypse, the Mole Man, the Stranger, the Mandarin, the Soviet Super-Soldiers (Red Guardian, Crimson Dynamo, Unicorn, the Devastator, Iron Maiden and Seraph), and others, are the Masters of Evil, led by Agent Axis II (son of the original), and counting among it’s members Power Man (Erik Josten), the Melter, Llyra of Lemuria, The Swordsman, the new Iron Cross and Baron Blood.
The new Inhumans and Eternals leaderships are both results of coups, with Maximus, with the Inhumans legendary ruler known as the Unspoken at his side, overthrowing Black Bolt and the Royal Family, who are exiled to the Moon, and, aided by his nephew Druig, the once believed dead Virako, unhappy with the current path taken by Zuras as leader of his people, arranges for the Prime Eternal to be killed by the Deviants in an ambush, and then, deposing Athena, the rightful heir, and imprisoning her supporters, including his own son, Ikaris, and brother, Valkin, takes over and declares war on the Deviants and the Humans. A former, sporadic, ally of the Invaders during WWII becomes a key player in this war, the Eternal known as the Forgotten One, who always defended the interests of humanity ahead of those of his own people, so much so that he is considered an outcast among them.

What If the X-Men had been killed in Genosha During the X-tinction Agenda?

When Alex Summers fails to overcome his conditioning as a Magistrate in time to turn the tables of the final battle, and is sidelined after the ill-fated first encounter with the X-teams Cameron Hodge sees the opportunity to undermine the Magistrates’ power and convinces the insane President of Genosha to allow him to bring in his Right forces and resources to Genosha. That way, Hodge is far from alone when the time comes to face his mutant enemies, and aided by the Genoshan military still in his service, he manages to overpower and kill the various X-teams facing him. As a result, Hodge, aided by the Right forces that he brings into Genosha, becomes even more powerful, and the threat to mutants all over the world becomes even bigger, forcing someone who had hoped to stay away from the human / mutant conflict to step into the spotlight of world events… Magneto. Hodge starts kidnapping young mutants all over the globe, showing great interest in those mutants whose powers manifest before puberty, something not very common. The United States’ Avengers, Russia’s Winter Guard, Great Britain’s Excalibur and Canada’s Alpha Flight mobilize to rescue their respective citizens captured by Genosha, however, with Nick Fury’s aid, Magneto convinces them to let him take the first shot, with a new team of X-Men assembled by him.

The new X-Men – A taskforce of former members and allies of the previous team, assembled for a rescue mission in Genoshan’s territory, as well as to give Magneto the opportunity to avenge his former adversaries. Already having Rogue at his side, Magneto attempts to locate the former members who went through the Siege Perilious, and who still hadn’t publicly resurfaced, as well as getting in touch with other allies that no longer were in the front lines. The result is quite a powerful team of X-Men.

Magneto – The Master of Magnetism had barely just defeated Zaladane in the Savage Land, when Nick Fury received the news of the deaths of the X-Men in Genosha, and is also informed that the Genoshans have been making raids all over the world, kidnapping young mutants. Realizing that mutantkind may be on the brink of extinction, Magneto, with Rogue at his side, agrees to recruit a task-force capable of taking the battle to Hodge, and rescuing his captives. One of the most powerful mutants on the face of the Earth, Magneto is a force to be reckoned with.
Rogue – Rogue is devastated to learn of the death of her friends and teammates, and feels the guilt for not being there at their side. Super-strong, invulnerable, able to fly and absorb other people’s powers, Rogue is an asset. 25 T.
Karma – Magneto finds X’ian Coy Mahn through Sage of the Hellfire Club, who also provides Magneto with the location of other former X-Men, and she is with him when he goes to Muir Island, in search of other allies. As such, a still weakened Shadow King, fearing being uncovered by the Master of Magnetism, before he is fully ready, retracts his psychic claws, freeing the minds of the mutants in Muir Island, many who choose to leave with Magneto, forcing the psychic parasite to postpone his plans, and attract other mutants to the island, to build up his ranks. While not exactly a telepath, Karma’s ability to mentally possess and control other people is the closet this team has to a wielder of psychic powers, and allows her access to the recent thoughts of those she possesses.
Havok – Alex Summers was sidelined before he could fully break his conditioning in time to join his former teammates in the final battle against Cameron Hodge, leaving his older brother alone to make a last stand against the monster, a stand that cost him his life and that of his friends. Bidding his time, until he can find an opening to avenge his brother and his friends, finally coming to his senses, Alex continues posing as a Magistrate, one that continues to be hated by Hodge, until Magneto and his new X-Men arrive on the island to rescue the mutant kids kidnapped by the Commander. The amazing energies that Havok yields really help turn the tide against the Magistrates and the Right soldiers, and, in the end, Havok and Magnetos are the ones that end up facing Hodge in a final showdown, which, apparently, claims the lives of the leaders of both factions involved in the war. At Magneto’s request, a request made before the final battle, Havok takes over the reins of leadership of the X-Men, and moves the team into the Ship once used by X-Factor, also taking over the group’s role as public heroes. Havok can convert ambient cosmic energies into devastating plasma blasts.
Colossus – Peter Rasputin was living in New York as an artist, when he is found by Rogue. Always a loyal member of the team, Colossus leaves his new life behind him, and, once more, as in the past, puts his armored might at the service of the mutant cause. 100 T.
Dazzler – Allison Blaire was living in L.A. attempting to build a musical career for herself. At first, she is reluctant to give up this life and go back to the endless fighting that she despised so much, however, Rogue and Colossus manage to convince her of the necessity to join them, for her own survival. Able to convert sound into light, which she can use for a variety of effects, Dazzler contributes with a lot of firepower for the team.
Madrox, the Multiple Man – Jaimie Madrox was in Muir Island, already suffering the influence of the Shadow King over his mind. So, when the arrival of Magneto and Karma forces the psychic parasite to retract his mental claws, the feeling of freedom that overcomes Madrox is so intense, that, despite previously always preferring to keep away from the X-Men’s conflicts, he, and a couple of others, immediately agrees in joining the team being assembled by the Master of Magnetism. Aware that Jaimie was once Moira’s assistant, and that he worked on many different projects at the Muir Island Research Station, Magneto feels that Jaimie can be an asset for the team, with his diversified scientific knowledge and his ability to multiply himself.
Sunfire – Shiro Yoshida is the last member to be recruited by Magneto, who knows that he will find resistance in convincing the Japanese mutant in joining him. As expected, Sunfire refuses to aid him, forcing Magneto to challenge him into personal combat, knowing that his victory will honor-bound the mutant samurai to his service. As expected, Magneto is victorious, and Sunfire joins his task-force, putting his living flame in the service of the Master of Magnetism’s cause, and ends up finding a place there for himself, even after the Genoshan mission.

When the assembled new X-Men arrive on Genoshan shores, they are greeted by an incredible opposing force, made up of the Magistrates, the Press Gang, and the Right forces. However, unlike in the previous assault on the island, this time the X-Men were prepared for them, and they had the Master of Magnetism at their side. The tide is definitely turned when Alex Summers reveals his true allegiances, and joins his power to the X-Men’s, wreaking havoc within the enemies’ ranks. Sending his X-Men into the Genoshan Citadel, to rescue the kidnapped hostages, Magneto, accompanied by Havok, moves in to confront Commander Hodge. The battle is savage, and it apparently climaxes with the demise of both, Magneto and Hodge, as well as the total destruction of the Genoshan Citadel. Taking command of the team, Havok returns the kidnapped children home, and the X-Men are welcomed as heroes in the U.S. where, with the X-Mansion fairly demolished, they set shop in the empty X-Factor ship. The X-Men go on to become quite a popular team of public heroes, effectively bettering the relationship between human and mutants. More numerous and powerful than the original X-Factor, the new X-Men manage to protect Ship from Apocalypse’s Dark Riders. The new Brotherhood of Evil awaits in the wings. And who shall rise and step in to take Magneto’s place in the mutants’ conflicts?

The new X-Factor Assembled by Quicksilver, at Magneto’s request, to rescue Rusty Collins and Sally Blevins from the MLF, and who end up taking down the terrorist group. This taskforce is initially composed of mutants that Magneto brought with him from Muir Island, freed from and unaware of the Shadow King’s influence, and James Proudstar, who also decided to follow Magneto when he left the Hellfire Club. And they are selected by the Master of Magnetism for another mission, instead of joining him in the assault on Genosha. Having a complete set of members, the group next attempts to locate and reach Professor X, feeling that he’ll be necessary to free Muir Island from the menace that Magneto and Karma sensed plaguing the mutant research center. After that, feeling that the team bonded well together, Pietro negotiates a deal with the U. S. Government, setting themselves up as a special operations task force sponsored by the American federal government.

Quicksilver – Upon leaving Muir Island, having added there a few recruits to the team he was assembling, Magneto feels that there is a huge menace hiding there, a menace that will have to be dealt with eventually, however, not necessarily by him. Alone, he seeks out his son, Pietro Maximoff, who had just parted ways with the West Coast Avengers, where, as a matter of fact, he opposed Magneto himself for the freedom of the Scarlet Witch. Knowing that Wanda was still recovering from that ordeal, Magneto prefers leaving her out of it, but he needs Pietro. Reluctantly, the mutant speedster agrees to aid him, as long as he doesn’t have to join his father’s team, which was never Magneto’s plan, anyway. Pietro is to complete the assemblage of his own taskforce, and to use his connections with the Avengers and the Inhumans, to locate and to go bring back Professor X to Earth.
Polaris – Lorna Dane had lost her powers to Zaladane, however, when the woman was slain by Magneto, they should have automatically returned to her, but didn’t. Lorna was already in Muir Island, suffering the influence of the Shadow King over her mind, when Magneto and Karma arrive, forcing the psychic parasite to retract his mental claws, leaving her and a couple of others overcome with such an intense feeling of freedom that she immediately agrees in leaving with the Master of Magnetism, who is also able to jumpstart her original powers, making her, once again the Mistress of Magnetism. A move that severely disrupts the Shadow King’s plans, for he was using her altered abilities to channel his own mental powers, shifting the polarity of the personality of those around her. Feeling that it would be redundant to have Lorna join his X-Men, Magneto assigns her to Quicksilver’s team, greatly boosting the power of its ranks.
Thunderbird – Already feeling he had no place being there, James Proudstar was, in fact, ready to leave the Hellions and the Hellfire Club, when Magneto shows up looking for Karma. Judging that his cause was nobler, and regretting the loss of so many acquaintances in the New Mutants, Proudstar volunteers his abilities to the Master of Magnetism’s mission. However, not fully trusting Proudstar, who served under the manipulative White Queen, and feeling that his X-Men already has enough muscle with Rogue and Colossus, Magneto thinks that Thunderbird would be a greater asset in Pietro’s task-force. Eventually, Pietro realizes that a leader with superspeed, short on patience and attention span, may not be the best thing for his team, so he shares the command with Thunderbird, who has previous experience as the former leader of the Hellions. Proudstar is strong, fast and has enhanced senses. 25 T.
Siryn – Like Madrox and Polaris, Theresa Cassiday also joins Magneto after feeling an intense sense of release, from having the Shadow King retract his mental claws from her mind. Also not fully knowing nor trusting her, after all, most are joining him to avenge friends while Theresa had a much deeper bond with one of those killed in Genosha, Magneto also assigns her to fill the ranks of Quicksilver’s team. Like her deceased father, Banshee, Siryn has a sonic scream that she can use for various effects.
Firefist – Russell “Rusty” Collins. Pietro’s strike-force manages to reach the captive Rusty and Skids before they can effectively be brainwashed by the MLF. Receiving the news of the deaths of his former mentors, X-Factor, and of his friends in the New Mutants, Rusty decides to honor them by joining the new X-Factor. Rusty eventually receives a presidential pardon for defecting after X-Factor becomes a U.S. Government strike-team. Firesfist is a powerful pyrokinetic.
Skids – Sally Blevins. Quicksilver’s strike-force manages to reach the captive Skids and Rusty before they can effectively be brainwashed by the MLF. Receiving the news of the deaths of her former mentors, X-Factor, and of her friends in the New Mutants, like Rusty, Skids decides to honor them by joining the new X-Factor. Skids has the power to project and to envelop her own body in a powerful and frictionless force-field.

With Polaris, Thunderbird and Siryn, Quicksilver’s new X-Factor manages to free Rusty and Skids, in the process greatly crippling the MLF’s operation. Handing over many prisoners to the U.S. authorities, X-Factor sets out on its true mission, the rescue of Professor X. Having acquired information about his whereabouts with Quasar, Quicksilvers’ space-faring fellow Avenger and the current Protector of the Universe, Pietro gets authorization from the Inhumans Royal Family to push Lockjaw’s teleporting abilities to the limit, taking them to Chandilar. X-Factor arrives to discover that, not finding the X-Man home at their destroyed mansion, Lila Cheney went to the next best thing, the British mutant team Excalibur. Joining forces with Excalibur (Captain Britain, Phoenix, Meegan, Nightcrawler and Shadowcat), X-Factor manages to defeat the Shi’ar Imperial Guard and soon overcome the threat of the Warskrulls. Wrapping things up, the two teams are transported back to Earth by Lila Cheney, thus sparing the exhausted Lockjaw, where Xavier recruits Phoenix to help him, the new X-Men and the new X-Factor, face the threat that looms in Muir Island.

Muir Island’s Islanders – The Shadow King attracts mutants from all over the world to Muir Island, where he can build his own army and feed off their corruption. An army the he pits against the X-Men and X-Factor, while he faces Xavier, Karma and the Phoenix. Not all of them will come out alive of the Battle for Muir Island.

Guido Carosella – 50 t. Lila Cheney’s bodyguard is drawn to Muir Island, where he distinguishes himself as a gladiator in the mutants’ arena. Able to convert kinetic attacks into physical strength.
Legion – Daniel Heller serves as a focal point for the Shadow King’s psych energies. Multiple mental powers, including, but not limited to telepathy, telekinesis and pyrokinesis.
Feral – Maria Callasantos. Savage Morlock. Bloodthirsty, which pleases very much the Shadow King.
Avalanche – Dominic Petros. Ex-Freedom Force, adrift in life, until the Shadow King draws him to Muir Island. Generation of powerful vibrational waves.
Frenzy – Always on the lookout for a cause, mercenary Joanna Cargill and her fellow members of the Alliance of Evil Mutants are easy pickings for the psychic parasite. Strength and invulnerability. 20 t.
Stinger – Always on the lookout for a cause, teenager troublemaker, Wendy Sherman and her fellow members of the Alliance of Evil Mutants are easy pickings for the psychic parasite. Discharges bioelectric energy through her hands.
Tower – Always on the lookout for a cause, mercenary Edward Pasternek and his fellow members of the Alliance of Evil Mutants are easy pickings for the psychic parasite. Size-altering abilities and the strength that comes with that.15 t.
The Vanisher – It doesn’t take much effort to corrupt even further the opportunistic Telford Porter. Uses the Darkforce Dimension to teleport.
Mesmero – Green-skinned mutant with the ability to control and mesmerize others. Ironically, is easily controlled by the Shadow King.
Sabretooth – Victor Creed freely embraces his brutal savagery, which makes him a perfect soldier for the Shadow King.
Sirocco – The Iraqi mercenary is drawn to Muir Island by the Shadow King. Unfortunately, for him, the dangers he will face don’t come only from without the island. Avalanche hasn’t forgotten Sirocco’s role in the death of his fellow Freedom Forcers. Creates wind tunnels.
Amanda Sefton – Friends with Moira Mactargett, the sorceress becomes an easy target for the Shadow King when she shows up for a visit.

The new New Mutants – Professor X’s new class of students include many of the young mutants that were kidnapped by Hodge and the Genoshans, mutants who, unlike most, developed their powers before hitting puberty. It’s a new experience for Xavier, to have such young charges, and students whose powers may yet evolve and develop into unguessed heights.

Artie Maddicks – 7 years old. Can generate very realistic 3D images, that he can draw from his own mind and the minds of others, mostly to communicate. Under Xavier, Artie tries to further refine his images-casting powers, employing them for combat, among other uses, as well as the low-level telepathy that he has to draw these images from others’ minds, a talent that allows him to mind-lock others.
Leech – 8 years old. Able to generate a power dampening field. As he grows up, Leech (also called Simon Lee) is becoming noticeably bigger and stronger, showing signs that a secondary mutation may be waiting in the wings, a secondary mutation that, coupled with his power-dampening field, may make Leech a force to be reckoned with.
Wiz Kid – Takashi “Taki” Matsuya. 9 years old. Taki is a technomorph, as well as a computer and electronic genius, and, though Laura and Goblyn are slightly older than him, he is the one the others chose to represent and lead the class.
Pathway – Laura Dean. 10 years old. Slightly autistic due to the trauma she suffered at birth, of having to save her twin from certain death, Laura is rapidly improving among others like her, however, she is still shy and insecure, which led the others to pick Taki to lead them, despite her being the oldest. Pathway can create dimensional portals.
Goblyn – 10 years old. Savage, fast, agile and with claws that can render steel, Goblyn Dean is Laura’s twin sister, despite her monstruous appearance. Mostly functioning on her instincts and her ferocity, Xavier is working with her to bring forth her human personality.
Franklin Richards – 7 years old. The Fantastic Four trusts Franklin to Xavier’s school, thinking that he’ll be safer there with his friends and that it’ll be productive for him to live with kids facing the same kind of challenges he does. Franklin is able to channels his vast mental powers into powerful psionic energy, that he can use for a variety of effects.
Black Hole – Katryna Petrova. 8 years old. The Russian girl is able to envelop herself with her own gravitational field, allowing her to fly or even to increase her own strength.
Magik - Illyanna Rasputin. 6 years old. Once a half-demon teenager who ruled Limbo, a demonic dimension that her mutant power once gave access to, Illyana has been regressed back to her childhood, and is still able to create teleportational stepping discs, which, however, for now, don’t seem to lead to limbo, but offer a direct route to the destination. Though both Pathway and Illyanna’s powers are teleportational in nature, Illyanna’s seem much more practical and useful in battle.
Cristopher Summers – 2 years old. By far the youngest of the group, however, the impenetrable telekinetic force-field bubble he is already able to surround himself with hints at the amazing mental powers he may yet come to develop.

At first, Xavier settles in Muir Island, where he opens his new school, with his young students, however, he moves back to the X-Mansion as soon as it is rebuilt.

What if the Marvel Super-Heroes had never returned from the Secret Wars?

Avengers: - While the main team of Avengers are missing, Falcon calls upon the help of remaining Avengers (Vision, SW and Starfox, plus Hawkeye’s wife and ally Mockingbird) to help him against the threat of the Lethal Legion (Electro, Rhino, Whirlwind, Moonstone, Beatle). Sensing the authorities react better to them when, despite her advanced pregnancy, ally Invisible Woman decides to join them, Vision, after the mission, not only invites Sam, Bobbi and Sue to join the team, but also convinces remaining founding member Hank Pym to don once more the Yellowjacket uniform and to rejoin the team, even if in a purely scientific capacity. Pym notices the Vision’s strange new mood swings and personality shifts and is able to defuse the situation before the emotion crystal does too much damage corrupting him. Hercules, Black Widow, Black Panther, Tigra and Black Knight agree to serve as reserve members. Hank Pym and the Avengers also help Tony Stark get back on his feet, take back Stark International, and finally don once more the Iron Man armor, a new one. Beta Ray Bill is also invited into the team, after Thor disappears. Namor, the Sub-mariner and Quasar also get to eventually join the team. The Avengers soon faces major threats such as the return of Graviton, the Collector, Immortus, the threat of the New Zodiac and a new incarnation of the Masters of Evil.

Vision – Vision takes over when the Avengers disappears, and proceeds with his plans of peace through world conquest. His adding of founding Avenger Hank Pym to the team backfires when Hank notices the influence the control crystal is having over him and manages to overcome it, before any real harm is done. Ashamed, Vision accepts that he and the SW are still too vital to quit the Avengers, but decides to step down as leader. Sue Storm takes over for him, at first, only in the field, while Hank calls the shots from behind the scenes. Without the control crystal, Vision reverts to his more somber personality. 50 T (Down the line may be replaced by Iron Man, when Tony recovers. 85T)
Scarlet Witch – Worried over her husband, Wanda really doesn’t want to be in the Avengers, but, for the moment, decides to stick around feeling that they are necessary for the team’s own survival in this time of crisis. She is actually relieved when the more reserved Vision returns. (Down the line may be replaced by Tigra. 5T)
Starfox – Eros brings much needed muscle and scientific knowledge in the field. He loves adventuring with the Avengers. 25 T (Down the line may be replaced by Hercules. 100T)
Falcon – Sam Wilson first comes to the Avengers for their help in dealing with a specific problem, however, soon decides to stay with the team, bringing to it credibility as Captain America’s former partner. Not used to being a team player, Sam, nonetheless, is an experienced and level-headed fighter, and often assists Sue when she takes over field command, even covering for her when she’s unavailable, due to her pregnancy and eventual motherhood.
Mockingbird – Feeling adrift, after her newlywed husband fails to return from Battleworld, Mockingbird is taken in by the Avengers, and is officially invited to join them permanently. A little ruthless at first for the Avengers style, in Hawkeye’s memory, Bobbi does her best to conform to the Avengers rules and standards, and ends up becoming a valued member of the team, not only for her athletic and combat prowess, but for her scientific mind also. Finds in Sam a good friend in her time of need, and, perhaps, with time, something more.
Invisible Woman – Sue Richards almost suffers a miscarriage when her husband and brother fail to return to Earth, but her life and that of her baby girl are saved by the intervention of Hank Pym. Moving permanently into the Mansion, where she feels she and her children will be better protected, as soon as she recovers from her pregnancy, Sue accepts the standing invitation to be made a member of the Avengers. She is accepted with open arms, and her power and experience make her one of the team’s most valued member. Adored by the general public, the Invisible Woman becomes the new public face of the team, and Sue, quite often, becomes a valued second in command for more experienced leader types. Sharing the similar grief of loss, Sue and Hank become very good friends, if not more.
Yellowjacket – Reluctant in returning to the team, Hank Pym is convinced by the Vision of the necessity of having a founding Avenger active for the survival of the team during this period of crisis. Knowing that Tony is still not ready to don the armor again, Hank decides to suit up once more as Yellowjacket, with the express condition of only going into combat as a last resort, preferring to stick to the lab. Hank’s presence, however, is crucial not only in saving the life of the Invisible Woman and her unborn child, but also in preventing the Vision from taking over the world’s computers and in saving him. With time, and so many great successes under his belt, Hank becomes more confident and comfortable once again as a hero, going as far as working on improving once more his size-changing abilities, but he still prefers to stick to the labs. (Down the line may be replaced by the Black Knight)

Defenders: When the X-Men fail to return, Ice-Man decides to answer Moira’s call and go back to the X-Men, but Beast and Angel prefer to stay on and, with the help of the Avengers, make the Defenders the protectors of the West Coast. Hank convinces Wonder Man and Hellcat to join the team, giving it some Avengers credibility, but Gargoyle prefers to leave the team and join Daimon Hellstrom in his occult investigations agency, though they both agree to help in emergencies. Setting up shop in the old Champions building in L.A., they also convince Bill Foster (Black Goliath) to not only help them in the tech department, but also to stand in as reservist. Scott Lang (Ant-Man) also becomes a recurring ally. Firebird soon joins the team. The Angel’s Aire in New Mexico becomes a secondary HQ for the team. Among the threats faced by the new Defenders are Master Pandemonium, the return of Professor Power and the New Secret Empire, and the Grim Reaper and his new Lethal Legion.

Beast – 5 T. Hank McCoy has always wanted to make the Defenders a real team, and when the core of the Avengers, the FF and the X-Men disappear apparently to never return, Beast uses his old Avengers contacts to get some official status for the team as protectors of the west coast. Aside from his agility and strength, Hank’s scientific knowledge is of great value for the team. Hank and Warren function as co-leaders of the Defenders.
Wonder Man – 90 T. Convinced by his best friend, Hank McCoy, to go back to super-heroing, despite his ascending career in Hollywood, Simon Williams is the backbone of the team in terms of power with his super-strength, flight and invulnerability.
Valkyrie – 45 T. The Defenders have always been the Valkyrie’s home, and when the Hulk goes missing, and Dr. Strange, Namor and Silver Surfer agree to never band together as a team again, she sticks with the Beast and her best friend, Hellcat, in their plan to make the New Defenders the official west-coast super-team. With Moondragon still her responsibility, Val finds in Simon Williams a worthy target for her attentions.
Moondragon – Still limited by the headband placed upon her head by Odin, Heather Douglas still struggles to prove herself worthy, but her ploy to seduce her male teammates seem to have failed when Ice-Man leaves, Wonder Man and Beast don’t seem so infatuated with her and even the renowned womanizer Angel seems to have made a conscious decision not to get involved with her. Despite her obnoxiousness and disruptive presence, Heather’s mental powers, martial arts expertise and technological know-how make her a valuable teammate.
Hellcat – Restless at home in San Francisco, and not feeling that she contributes much to her husband’s occult investigation firm, Patsy Walker doesn’t need much convincing to join a team with so many members with whom she shares a strong connection, such as the Beast, Valkyrie and Moondragon. The time apart even seems to help keep the torch burning in her recent marriage. Hellcat is super-agile and has claws that can cut steel.
Angel – Billionaire Warren Worthington III is the financial backer of the New Defenders, and the high-flying Angel one of its most dedicated members. The New Defenders was a dream that Warren shared with the Beast, a second chance at forging a worthy team of super-human protectors set in the west coast of the U.S., after the Champions disbanded, a team that, spearheaded by mutants, could actually serve to improve relations between humans and mutants. This is a dream that Warren feels so strongly about, that he chooses to ignore his infatuation with Moondragon for fear of it interfering with the success of the team. Warren and Hank function as co-leaders of the Defenders.

    Cont from above.

X-Men – When the X-Men don’t return from Battleworld, Banshee and Moira reach out to Havok to put together a team meant to rescue Kitty Pryde and the New Mutants from the clutches of Emma Frost and the Hellions. Calling upon former X-Men Polaris and Ice-Man, as well as ally Dazzler, the team not only manages to free Sprite and the kids from the Hellfire Club, but also manages to convince James Proudstar to give the X-Men a chance. Two key elements of the rescue were the curing of Banshee’s wounds by the Morlock healer, a payment in full of any debt that Calisto and the Morlocks may have had with the X-Men, and the recruiting of British telepath Elizabeth Braddock to protect the team from Emma Frost’s telepathic abilities. Though refusing to join, Sunfire, as well as founding members Beast and Angel, agree to help the team in emergencies and the X-Men soon make the acquaintance of Forge, who also helps them out, occasionally. Eventually, Emma Frost asks to join the team, fearing the more radicalized path the Hellfire Club is taking. Plus, Apocalypse and a larger Alliance of Evil Mutants is right around the corner.

Havok – When Banshee and Moira find out that the X-Men have disappeared, probably to never return again, and that Kitty and the New Mutants are under the power of the HFC, Alex Summers is the first person they go looking for. Feeling a sense of responsibility to take on Xavier and his brother’s work, Alex accepts to go with them, but is reluctant to lead, for he feels too inexperienced to do so, and that other members such as Ice-Man might not be happy to follow him. Banshee agrees to co-lead with him at first, but Alex soon proves to be quite a competent leader, even if a little bit unorthodox, going as far as devising the plan that leads them to their first victory over the HFC. Though in a faithfully committed relationship with Lorna Dane, his competitiveness with Dazzler makes not only Polaris jealous, but also Ice-Man, who has interest in Allison. Havok is able to metabolize cosmic energy into devastating blasts of power capable not only of generating incredible concussive force, but also searing heat.
Polaris – Always faithful and loyal to Havok, Lorna Dane is a boon for the team with her control of magnetic fields, a control almost as great as Magneto’s himself, who, like the X-Men themselves, has disappeared from the face of the Earth. She doesn’t like much the flirting going on between Alex and Allison, but, trusting Havok, keeps to herself.
Dazzler – Always insecure of her place in the world, Allison Blaire likes to compensate for this with a flirting personality, and finds in Alex Summers an attractive target for her affections, which doesn’t sit well with Polaris. A confrontation between the two of them might be inevitable, and her ability to convert sound into light might not be up to the task of facing the control of magnetism of one of the most powerful mutants on the planet.
Ice-Man – The X-Men has always been a home for Bobby Drake, and a chance to leave his mark even further in the team’s history seems like a dream come true for him, although the fact that his long-time rival is now in a position of leading the team transforms this into a nightmare for him. The fact that Alex not only is with Lorna, whom Bobby once loved, but is also the target of his current infatuation’s affections, Allison, only make things worse. Unless something is done, the friction between two of the most veteran members of the team may tear it apart.
Banshee – When he and Moira find out that the X-Men have disappeared, probably to never return again, and that Kitty and the New Mutants are under the power of the HFC, Sean Cassiday decides that the world still needs X-Men and sets out to assemble a new team. After recruiting Havok, Polaris, Dazzler and Ice-Man, who brings along Cloud, and being turned down by Beast and Angel, who still say they will be around to help in emergencies, Havok insists that they also need Banshee in the field. Looking up the Morlocks, they negotiate for the healer to fully take care of his injuries in exchange for a clean slate for the Morlocks. Fully healed, with the help of unknown factor Cloud, Banshee manages to covertly take out Emma Frost and the HFC with subsonics, before they even knew what hit them. Eventually, as co-headmaster of the school, Sean prefers to dedicate himself more to teaching than the heroics of the X-Men. Banshee possesses a sonic scream that he can modulate for a variety of effects.
Thunderbird II – 25 T. After the X-Men deal with the Hellfire Club and the Hellions, James Proudstar pretends to leave the Hellions and to accept the X-Men's offer to join them, his intent, in reality, to kill Banshee, whom he considers responsible for his brother's death, and destroy the team. However, James eventually sees that Banshee is innocent and stays on with the team, becoming its much needed muscle.
Sprite – Teen genius Kiity Pryde ends up becoming the team's resident scientist. However, due to her age, while they admit she is a full member of the team, Moira and Sean still insist for Kitty to only go into the field on special occasions. Cloud and Kitty soon become good friends.
Psylocke - British telepath Betsy Braddock seeks out Moira MacTarget in Muir Island, and finds out that she is now running the school. Coming to America after her, Betsy decides to put her telepathy at the team’s service, but prefers to stay working with Moira as her assistant, instead of going in the field, doing so only when there is no other resource.
Cloud - Seeking to distance herself from her confusing feelings for Moondragon, Cloud prefers to join Ice-Man in the X-Men, becoming an unofficial member, even if no one is sure if she's a mutant, or what she is. Despite Bobby’s initial interest on her, they have settled on just being good friends.

New Mutants: Under Moira’s guidance, the X-Men set out to locate and help out more young mutants, who they enlist in the New Mutants, expanding their ranks. Some modifications Moira does on Cerebro allows the mutant locator to actually locate mutants whose powers still haven’t manifested, though are near to do so at this moment. Psylocke operates Cerebro in Xavier’s absence. Banshee also takes a more active hand in their training, as he does with neotype X-Men Cloud, Sprite, Psylocke, Thunderbird and Dazzler. The New Mutants soon become targets for the Shadow King.

Cannonball – Sam Guthrie is the New Mutants co-leader. As the oldest, feels deeply responsible for the team. Although infatuated with Amara, soon finds himself in a relationship with Boom Boom.
Mirage – Dani Moonstar is the other co-leader of the team. More aggressive and impulsive than Sam, she often needs his more rational approach to hold her back.
Wolfsbane – 5 T. Rahne Sinclair. Shy, introverted but extremely loyal. Has a crush on Sam, but has a strong bond with Dani.
Magma – Amara Aquila. Arguably the most powerful member of the team. Has her affections divided between Rusty and Bobby.
Sunspot – 15 T. Arrogant, vain and entitled, Roberto da Costa is, nonetheless, actually not having a real home to go back to in Brazil, very loyal to the team. With his ability to convert solar energy into strength, Bobby is the muscle of the team.
Firefist – Rusty Collins. The X-Men manage to reach Rusty before he actually enlists in the Navy, and, that way, his incendiary powers first manifest themselves under controlled conditions. This allows Rusty to develop his abilities with much more confidence, without the trauma that his first manifestation did cause.
Rictor – Julio Richter. Also found e recruited before he falls into the hands of the RIGHT organization. Rictor actually shows himself to be quite a tough guy. Develops a crush on Rahne.
Boom Boom – Tabitha Smith. Already on the run and living on the streets, Boom Boom is happy to have a home where she doesn’t have to fear abuse and where she gets to have real friends. Plus, she hopes she and Sam will become more than just friends.

The Fantastic Foundation – Run out of the Baxter Building by the Black Panther and the Invisible Woman. A team of explorers funded by Wakanda and the Fantastic Four Foundation that deals with, for lack of a better world, the fantastic. And among their greatest opponents are the Heir of Doom, Kristof Vernard, ruler of Lativeria with the knowledge of Victor Von Doom, the Mole Man and a new Frightful Four.

Wyatt Wingfoot – Field leader of the Fantastic Foundation. An old friend and ally of the Fantastic Four carries on their legacy. Without any actual powers, though an Olympic level athlete, Wyatt depends a lot of the scientific marvels once conceived by Reed Richards.
Ant Man – Scott Lang. On top of his incredible size-changing abilities, as an electric engineer, Scott is quite handy to have on the team.
Crystal – Of all the team, the only one to have truly been a member of the Fantastic Four. As an Elemental, Crystal’s control, greater than ever, of Wind, Fire, Water and Earth make her a force to be reckoned with. Her relationship with her husband, Quicksilver, is greatly strengthened by working together with him in the team, as they also find new ways to complement each other’s powers.
Quicksilver – Though reluctant at first to join, he does so at his wife’s, Crystal, insistence, and it proves to be very beneficial for their relationship to be away from Attilan and her family and to have each other’s lives depending more and more on their trust during battle. With his great speed, and a little help of his wife’s winds, at first, Pietro rediscovers his abilities to fly short distances.
Thundra – Due to her loyalty to the Thing’s memory, Thundra decides to tag along with the team, putting her amazing strength and durability to great use. The team’s power house. 85 T

Power Man & Iron Fist – With the disappearance of Spider-Man and the FF, H4H business is better than ever, and the duo becomes regular features in NY as some of its most widely known protectors.
Daredevil – Alongside PM & IF, the Man without Fear has more work than ever as protector of NY.
Dr. Strange – The good doctor continues to protect Earth from supernatural threats, though now he seems to resort less on outside help and allies, having terminated his association with the Defenders.

Among the major threats that still remain at large to menace the Earth are Graviton, The Emissaries of Evil (Electro, Rhino, Whirlwind, Moonstone, Beatle), The New Masters of Evil (Zemo, Madam Masque, Grey Gargoyle, Mr. Hyde, Screaming Mimi, Quicksand, Goliath, Tiger Shark, The Melter, The Scorpion, the Fixer, The Living Laser), The Lethal Legion (Grim Reaper, Nekra, Black Talon, Man-Ape, Porcupine, Vibro and the Constrictor), The Red Skull and his enhanced Skeleton Crew, Immortus, Apocalypse and his larger Alliance of Evil Mutants, The Hell-Fire Club, The Heir of Doom, the Mole Man, The Frightful Four, The Serpent Society.

    More to follow.
