Not going to lie. The more I look at it, the more it’s just weird to me, DC is trying to say Kara’s mom is “black Kryptonian.”
I’d be less weirded out if it were say…Powergirl’s mom, since we barely get visuals on her “Allura,” and it would be another difference between her and Kara’s backgrounds.

Also which version of Krypton is this anyways? Is this one with natural childbirth or one of the weird ones with artificial gestation using clones?

either way replacing existing characters is a major NOPE.

Yeah, seems that this was a retcon just last year. It doesn't make sense, and they certainly aren't pushing Kara as an ethnic minority character.
