Team uniforms are still costumes. Her non-green costumes include
1. Purple Shi'ar look
2. Malice
3. Muir Island (when she was super strong)
4. First X-Factor (blue/yellow)
5. Red/Yellow X-Factor (the revealing one)
6. 2nd Blue/yellow X-Factor costume (sleeveless)
7. 3rd blue/yellow X-Factor (with short hair)
8. Purple one from Austen's run
9. X-Factor return (purple/green/black; it had green but purple was the dominant color)
10. Yellow X-Factor
11. X-men Blue (blue/black)
ETA: 12/13. Her Acolyte costumes. She had two different ones. One was red/blue and the other was blue/yellow
She's actually had more non-Green costumes than ones that were predominantly green
1. OG
2. Dark Seduction
3. Rise of Sh'iar
4. X-Factor (Krakoa)
5. X-men (Krakoa)
IDA. Wanda's costumes are almost exclusively red, whereas Lorna's arent exclusively green. Wanda literally has scarlet in her codename and most artists take that literally when they come to designing her with a red look. Whatever her next one will be, I think can confidently assume it will be red but I dont think the same can be said about Lorna with green. It can go either way

I am utterly ecstatic about this cover. It's beautiful.
I am utterly ecstatic about this TEASER!
I really hope it ends up being as impactful as it feels right now.
As for the costume: I think it's a message, not a new costume. I also think it might not be green - I think it might be black and white like Magneto's that is emulates, but her power signature is turning everything green. But could also reflect North's, her chimera offspring...
Queen of Mutants, Mistress of Magnetism, Magnetrix and the MII, Pestilence of the Horsemen of Apocalypse, the Krakoan Oracle and creator of the Sanctus Sacrum Tournament Key, the Threshold Seed Shaper, Brood Queen of the Fall of the House of X, Lorna Sally Dane, Ph.D., of the House of M, Polaris of the X-Men
Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."
This moment for Lorna has the potential of being one of the biggest in her character's history. Polaris isn't someone that often has a big role to play in an event like this, particularly one that is focused on the X-Men. Seeing how Duggan, and the solicitation, highlight the importance of Lorna's return, I think it's safe to say that this is going to be a big issue for her. Maybe it won't do a lot in terms of developing Lorna's character, but it could serve as a big reminder of how dangerous Polaris can be.
The more I look at the costume, the more I love it on Lorna. I honestly think she pulls it off more so than Magneto IMO. I know seeing Lorna decked out in her Dad's costume can be controversial, but I think it's nice to see writers reinforce the connection between the two. Out of all of the House of M, Lorna is the true heir to Magneto, and I think that's what this cover is trying to evoke.
It says a lot that the vast majority of response to this is positive with few complaints, and the complaints are fairly minor. It says that what we've seen so far in the announcement is right on track for what most people want. It also reminds me of how some people insisted Lorna fans "can't be satisfied" when the reality was always that the comics kept not doing things that would have satisfied Lorna fans.
From the cover to the synopsis to the announcement article's title, this issue looks really promising for Lorna. This feels like the sort of thing fans hoped for when she won the X-Men vote. It's been an incredibly long time since I looked forward to a comic with Lorna in it without some hesitation that it might not be good after all, or might just be a front for future bad plans.
I think it's also important to not get too overhyped, though. That is not to say "don't get hyped," which is not what I'm saying at all. What I mean is to temper expectations enough to avoid expecting too much and ending up disappointed if it can't satisfy the overhype.
It all looks great. It seems like it'll have the right mix of good power use and a solid purpose behind that use to make it memorable and meaningful. I hope in a few months we'll be able to buzz with excitement here about what's in it.

Pepe's Lorna is so beautiful (so is Werneck's)
We are so lucky
But doesn't that apply to most any new character introduced? Honestly, I liked the way that story ended. The problems lie with Roy Thomas coming aboard and doing very little follow up, and then the book being cancelled. There could have been an exploration of her life prior to that -- and then how she fit in -- or didn't with the new group. I never had a problem with she and Havok being paired -- as they were literally Marvel's first power couple, but for whatever reason they were mostly ignored in the Bronze Age.
Even if she had been Magneto's daughter back then -- I don't think it would have significantly changed the outcome of the atory -- she still would have sided with the X-Men. I guess there would have been more angst. And they revisiting her relationship with 'Daddy' at some point. Maybe Claremont would have used her more as Mag's daughter in his run -- which could have made her more popular with fandom. Who can say? I never saw linking her with Magneto as an advantage.
Yeah, I don't see it being a permanent change, but it will work for the story. Someone in the House of M thread posted a link to a Wolverine variant cover of Lorna in gala outfit that I thought would make a good modern uniform: https://twitter.com/RPHutch1975/stat...01883529396435 The mini-skirt and boots never felt right to me.
I'll be asking the local shop to reserve Fall of the House of X for me. Can't recall when I last purchased a Marvel book -- it's been a while.
