Of course. Just look at South Park when they spoof this trope in "Cartman finds Love". Just lock two characters away on some isolated place until they love each other. Wells even went with the time factor to try to pull it off.

It's just so bad that I am laughing hard at it. Especially those two pages when MJ are hitting Paul(I mean why not make it even worse when you are on a roll) and when she looks like a bad Sarah Connor knockoff. It's hillarious.

Oh and I don't mean this as a comment on the art. The concept of it all is what is so hillariously bad.

I think this is the first piece of ASM content to actually acknowledge the jackpot watch.

The last one feels like a parody of 90's comics.

I wish I was as optimistic as you. Although, the only thing keeping my hope alive with all of this being undone are the comments by Wells himself where he said he's going to "put all the toys back in the box" by the end of his run. I honestly don't like this mentality in superhero comics (specially for Spider-Man) but I hope this run isn't the exception.
