I didn't like that run as much as some people do. I think you can make up some head canon, which is that MJ doesn't know whether Mysterio is genuinely reforming. Therefore, she has decided that if he isn't genuine her best way out is to play along, and if he is genuinely reforming her best way forward is to play along. But that's not on the page.

I really wish we'd gotten a better resolution to that storyline, preferably in MJ's own book.

Considering you always write with the same "tone", it's amusing that this is either legit or pretty dry sarcasm .

Having read Guardian Devil for the 20th anniversary of Marvel Knights, I thought Smith had a fairly decent grasp of Peter's character, insofar as him reminding a despairing Daredevil at the end that some good did come out of the whole mess, namely that DD still managed to save that baby that Mysterio tried to make him think was the Antichrist and got her to a loving family. To bring it back to Mary Jane, though, as much as I liked Amazing Mary Jane by Leah Williams and Carlos Gomez, I was wondering why she didn't bring up the Guardian Devil B.S. Mysterio pulled before his self-inflicted death, given the sheer contempt she displayed for him on the page you showed here.

Continuity is hard man, even when Marvel was good at it they screwed up once in a while lol.

Clark Kent shows up once in a while, there's this Thor story where Nick Fury convinces Thor to wear glasses as a disguise "Like the other guy", and later Thor bumps into Clark Kent, who briefly wonders if he just bumped into Thor before dismissing it lol.

That is actually a good shout, but I still think it'll be a retread of Mary Jane and Black Cat and take place during Gang War. Something tells me Zeb Wells can't resist the urge to have two sexy women fighting the Shocker so the Robot Chicken crowd can snigger like Muttely the Dog.

Cosigned on Guardian Devil killing off Karen Page. One of the best things about the Netflix Daredevil series was that it didn't do that.
