Oh I like the eerie vibe of this. Also did I see this correctly? This is an actual variant cover? I have seen few pieces from Bosslogic and he is good. I didn't know he even gets to do official work for companies now though.

The Stern run wasn't great for Wanda (wasn't bad either, she just didn't do very much) so this is probably the most memorable moment. Back when she was mutant enemy #1 I would point to this to argue that life wasn't a picnic for a mutant on the Avengers.

The later half of the 80's and early 90's were really bad for Wanda. It seems that everyone had a grudge against Steve Englehart and wanted to destroy the life that he had made for Wanda and Vision

Which would have had some meaning if they had something planned for the two outside of their marriage. But it was more to do with Vision being a synthezoid. They threw Vision into the garbage and Wanda into that toxic af relationship with Simon.

Basically a few people decided to ruin a good thing because they didn't understand the characters and then started winging it once they got their wish.

Most (all?) Avengers fans like Stern's run better than I do. I didn't hate his Wanda, I just didn't think she got a lot to do. Her biggest moment in the run is issue #234 which is just her recapping the events of her previous comics.

It definitely is. I'm glad they are doing it. She's had several. Chthon, Emerald Warlock, Alkhema, Salem's Seven, Lore, Nekra, Modred, etc.

More is never a bad thing. I'd even like to see her go up against Enchantress again.
