I give Ryan North a $#!+load of credit and will maintain his USG was one of Msrvel's best runs, but the little stories starting his run were similar to the single lesser "important" stories John Byrne started his run with. His run is good enough that I can nitpick his personal statements where I don't have a lot of negative criticism of his work. I honestly think North's run could reach the heights that Lee/Kirby, Byrne, and Hickman did with the FF.
Last month Fantastic Four #700 came out, and this month FF #8 came out, and they are sequential thanks to comics numbering! They're both available at comic stores so I don't want to spoil anything, but they've been really well received, which has been great to see. I honestly did not expect the book to last a year given how different it was from previous FF runs, but I'm going to be sending in the script for FF #15 later on this week, so thank you to everyone who's been checking it out every month. It's because of you that I get to keep writing it!

The man followed Ditko on Spider-Man and Kirby on Fantastic Four. Forget Matt Murdock. John Romita Sr. truly had no fear.

Marvel Studios announced some new release dates on Tuesday. I'm glad the Fantastic Four isn't pushed back very far. The old release date was for February 14, 2025. The new date is for May 2, 2025 which makes it more of a summer release.
Complete release dates here.
Yeah almost every Marvel movie has shifted, likely due to the strike

So back to the "Dr Storm" thing... WHEN exactly was the first mention of Sue being a doctor?
And why wouldn't it be "Dr Richards"?
"Face Front... Nuff Said?"
Sue was first mentioned as a doctor in the Fraction run. As to Dr Storm, it's possible Sue is using her maiden name more, but it may just be a way to differentiate her from her husband, Dr. Richards. I'd assume that if Sue was flat out using Storm the recap page would list her as Storm and not Richards.

Also, when it comes to her using her maiden name I think it's because it's more recognizable. Most know her as Sue Storm even though she's been married to Reed for decades. Plus the Storm surname is frankly a cooler name lol.

Although I feel like Sue would be perfectly comfortable being called by her married name (unless written by Dan Slott).
Sue's name is another big point when dealing with the flexible timeline. Sue marrying in the mid sixties and taking Reed's name was pretty much the standard at the time. Especially considering she had no real fame outside the group before the flight. Fast forward fifty plus years and women hyphenate or keep their own names much more. Plus, it's still unclear as to what effects Sue's doctorate had on her life and if her original Sue Storm name would have had any relative importance. The question isn't what Sue would do, it's what Sue would do today (and tomorrow).
