For a second there at first glance I thought it was a long ranged venom blast, but you're right it is in fact his bio electric sword he's holding.
I'm really gonna dig Miles exploring more of his energy construct abilities going forward.

My guess is this was accidently revealed ahead of time as I was just able to just now pre-order issue #9 and Strange Academy: Miles Morales #1 on TFAW.

Both of these covers look sick. It's so awesome to see Miles' powers continue to evolve like this. I don't know what direction Ziglar is planning to take Miles, but I'm becoming genuinely excited to see it.

The covers are great, and I've got a feeling the third will have a sword as well. And agreed as well on the power exploration, Miles got his powers so young it'd be a shame if they didn't grow with him or weren't experimented with.

Was just about to post that, I'll be surprised if we don't get an official announcement soon. Surprised it's not Ziglar writing since he said he wanted to do a crossover and it doesn't appear to be like Carnage Reigns where it's shared between books. I wonder if it's just Miles or if other books are involved since they put his name directly instead of just Spider-Man.

Funny thing in his interview with Black Comic Lords-I THINK one of the interviewers DID pitch to him about Miles visiting that school.

Miles managed to slice one of Rabble's drones in half. I'm assuming he'll be able to control whether it cuts or just shocks.
