Today's issue of Urban legends had four stories, three had Dick Grayson and two of them were about him.

First Nightwing story was great and had a tease at the end that we can be seeing more from Jamal Campbell in the future. I hope that's the case.

Flamingo appearing surprised me, looks like he is the only DickBat villain that got to be transfered to Nightwing and i'm all for it.

Flamingo needs a bit of a revamp, such as curing the brain damage so he can talk, but a bright pink-Ringmaster psycho cannibal villain is a great addition to Nightwing’s Rogues Gallery. Maybe move him towards being more of a “Carnage”-esque quipper to improve him as a foil for Nightwing? Dick well known to be the one who lightens the mood with jokes, Flamingo as the fucked up version of that who tells jokes while he’s eating people strikes me as a possible route to go. Someone who can banter with Nightwing in a way he doesn’t enjoy, Dick’s quips piss off his villains, Flamingo turns that around and does the same to Dick.

Yeah, I'd thought the first part of Campbell's story was borderline fan-fiction/a love-letter to the Taylor run with it's set-up and house style so similar - when UL often takes a more "alt" approach. But with the second part here, it feels like a Bonus Story rather than anything else - clearly seeding things for later, whether that's in the Taylor/Redondo run or elsewhere.

Does Campbell have a current commitment? I know he was booked pretty solidly for Naomi and Far Sector for a while.

The first issue actually felt drastically different from Taylor’s run. Dick was doing majority of the work and there was actually a story building. But the second issue felt more like it took too much from Taylor with how dick got captured, the focus on haven, the random dick babs moment talking about Alfred and then the random villain cameo (flamingo), and the fact that the story technically didn’t get wrapped up. The first issue was definately better than the second.
