This is a variant, of course. Remember last year or the year before when Ross did the big heroes mural for the Marvel offices? They called it Timeless Heroes, or something like that. Then they merchandised the heck out of it, and there were variant covers for all of the heroes, like this one. This year, it's basically the same thing, but with Marvel's villains.

    There's also a pencil variant.

It's on Guardians of the Galaxy #1 coming out on 4/12.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

Last week Alex Maleev posted a new Doom portrait on Twitter. It's been a while since he's done one of these. I keep hoping Doom willl look something like this whenever he debuts in the MCU.

How dare they put Dark PHOENIX on there, lol!

I would rather have seen Titania and Volcana and the Bad Girls, Inc ladies.

Oh, me LIKEY that Emma is there, lol!

And after all, Doom created Volcana and Titania! Yeah, those 2 deserved to be there.

I like Volcana and Titania too. At least Titania is appearing in the She Hulk comic as her fight club partner. I can't recall the last time Volcana has appeared anywhere though.

Yeah, I think both Volcana and Titania have untapped potential. Marvel dropped the ball, I believe with both of the women, but way much moreso with Volcana.

For Instance, Titania was supposed to be the strongest female at the time of her creation by Doom (and she probably was for the most part), but then she quickly was overshadowed by Shulkie and/or lost most fights with much weaker opponents.

Volcana, they did little to nothing with, and made her a (literal) couch potatoe who likes to binge-eat while bing-watching TV.

I think the last time they appeared together was in the Charles Soule's She Hulk series from a while back. But the artist on the comic made them almost unrecognizable.

It's a shame Titania and Volcana became goofball characters instead of real threats. Doom needs to use them in a plot again, maybe amp them up, give them another shot at being real villains.

I'm taking a pass on that one and will wait for the new Secret Wars (1985) Doom that will be out later this year.
