I was going to post that one. That is one of the pages I own. Bought the original art work from the artist Tom Grummett's agent on eBay.




Grummett signed it on the bottom margin too....

Here's a last page appearance from Namor #6 (2007) that was very frustrating. This occurs during the crossover event called The Initiative but unfortunately IIRC it was never followed up

This one is a bit of a cheat on my part, partly because he appears on the cover, and partly because it is not a regular comic book. But I think it still counts! The mini comic is titled Fantastic Four 2K games and is part of a video game that features the movie versions of the FF.

I didn't know they made a video game from that movie. I wonder who the artist is?

On another note.....I happened across this new Iron Man figure. It's made from plastic and has fabric features also with interchangeable heads and hand piecesl. Parts of it can light up and it is just shy of 8 inches tall. I would love to see a Doctor Doom figure done in Medieval style like this. Price is a bit steep at $169.

Such an abrupt and miserable stylistic regression (and story wise as well) when just a handful of issues later Doom makes a last page appearance in FF #7 in 2013

Yuck.....I absolutely hate Mike Allred's style. He also wrote and drew that infamous issue where Ant Man beats up Doom in that same series. I think I threw that issue away

Cannot disagree. I did keep those issues, but reluctantly. Better ignored.

YES! This one was the one I was thinking of. I can't believe I forgot the Stuart Moore / Olivetti Namor last page. Going to have to renew my Namor Cred card.

I like Allred's art for particular stories ... but this FF Doom story sucked, which is more Fraction's fault.

I know, right?! Seriously, Allred's work can be fine for independent stuff. But for Marvel, it can be hit-or-miss (IMHO):

I just am not a fan of his style, sort of a retro pop art look. His Silver Surfer work wasn't as bad as your example and it did win an Eisner award. But I always remember him for what IMO is terrible work on that FF series.

Pretty much this. Alot depends on the book -- and personal taste.

Also, EXCELLENT last page choice. Jim Cheung is awesome! I hope he returns to Marvel soon.
