Part of it is that they made Superman's yellow parts the same golden color as Wonder Woman's which helps them to look more similar.

Yeah I've noticed some artists do that. I think its cool looks like real metal belts or real gold armor

That's part of why I'm so gung ho about Wonder Woman retaining her blue eyes, they're another commonality with Superman that makes them visually perfect for each other. (Sorry Steve and Lois.)
