Happy New Year to Wondy's Rogues Gallery in all their variety .
Very interested where KSD goes with Ares in the next two trilogies if she gets them. He’s been portrayed very sympathetic thus far, but I’m assuming he’ll turn at some point to justify his transformation into being a foe for Diana. I would also love to see her write Circe but given where issue 3 left the Amazons I don’t see that happening.

Given the series isn't meant to connect to any pre-existing version of WW, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually stays in the a similar stance to how was in the third book.
Given how book 3 ended, I'd be surprised to see Circe. I imagine most of the conflict in the next trilogy will come from other Amazons now.
Pictures taken right before a disaster.
Definitely possible that KSD goes in another direction, but Ares being a foe of the Amazons is so ingrained into the Mythos that I’d be surprised to see her defy it completely. She’s definitely changed various aspects of the lore, such as the Amazons’ relationship to Themyscaria and their patrons, so it would be keeping with the setup thus far to do something different with Ares.

It's certainly possible though given DeConnick I believe said the story ends with Steve's plane crashing, it's also possible we might not get into the details for what gets Diana to leave.
Circe would be interesting, it's possible they could slyly retcon her in as "always having been there" as one of the normal woman from Hippolyta's tribe who we just didn't see.
Given the circumstances that led to the creation of Themyscira, maybe Hera will conspire with Ares to get the Amazons off of the island? Creating Diana was Hera's plan, after all. Might be a stretch but KSD has said that if the last 3 volumes get made they'll be largely focused on Olympus...
For 2023 Wonder wishes, I’d really love to see a strong Doctor Cyber storyline, a terrifying Doctor Psycho one, have Angle Man return and introduce Eviless.

Zeus Tried To Destroy The Amazons In Wonder Woman: Historia
Wonder Woman has had a strange life, with multiple versions of her and the Amazons appearing across DC history. Wonder Woman: Historia started in 2021, and was meant to show readers the definitive origin of the Amazons. Created by the female Greek Gods, they were noticed by Zeus who took umbrage to their existence, sparking a war that would end with them in bondage to the Gods on Themyscira.
Zeus is the villain of this book, the monstrous embodiment of the patriarchy. In the two installments that dropped in 2022, readers saw just how despicable Zeus was, his villainy made apparent throughout the series. Wonder Woman: Historia is a brilliant comic and turned Zeus into a chilling and terrible villain.
