    Previous threads - https://community.cbr.com/showthread...reciation-2022, https://community.cbr.com/showthread...reciation-2021, https://community.cbr.com/showthread...reciation-2020, https://community.cbr.com/showthread...reciation-2019, https://community.cbr.com/showthread...reciation-2018

Give out your appreciations to the Champions here in this new thread for a new year.

Express on what you like and/or love, not dislike/hate/rant on, about the Champions.

Bring up any and all positives about the team.

Recommend some comic runs of the young heroes to those who havn't read their books.

Talk about your favorite writers and artists that depicted the team in the series they had turn up in.

And post fan works of the team, or one of it's members, from anywhere that you can find online.

    Like so.

There is one thing that isn't good - the team is currently disbanded, so most of the team is limboed.

    Known upcoming appearances:

Ms. Marvel - Amazing Spider-Man (regular supporting cast, probably there until the current writer leaves), Dark Web: Ms. Marvel #2.
Viv Vision - Scarlet Witch #2.
Miles Morales - Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Dark Web: Ms. Marvel #2.
    Nadia - Wasp mini-series.
Ironheart - Iron Man (regular supporting cast).

When did that happen? IIRC, the last arc ended on a high note, not a breakup

Also, what about the 70s team? Do they count? They were last seen in world war hulk right?

The 70s team have nothing in common with this one save the name, though Iceman did accept them as their legacy saying the Waid/Ramos team was a sick lineup (he said that line in an issue of his solo book that featured the old team mourning team member Black Widow who'd been killed in Secret Empire saving Miles - Nat had mentored some of the modern Champions in that event, though her being a Champion herself was never mentioned there).

In Kamala's recent team-up mini she says she WAS on a team, past tense. And in Dark Web she says she's really busy with her new Oscorp internship (which bear in mind is in New York, meaning the next point affects her). Also, remember that Outlawed was basically for nothing due to Kingpin outlawing ALL superheroes in New York except the Thunderbolts in Devil's Reign almost immediately after the defeat of Roxxon and CRADLE. Half the team can't go on patrol without fear of arrest - even Miles only evaded it in the first issue of his new solo run because he'd just webbed up Scorpion, who the cops took in instead. I'm pretty sure that the Powers Act broke up the team.

Oh, I forgot something in that list of upcoming appearances actually - Falcon is a regular in Captain America: Symbol of Truth, ex-Falcon Sam Wilson's book.

No offense, but that's the only Champions that matter to me.

    Peace

If iceman says they count than to me, they count as the same team. The big question is--do the great lakes champion's count?? Heh. Hercules wasn't happy about it! "Let them use it man, no one else is using the name!"

This thread is only for appreciating the current Champions team, not the 70's version (or any version that's not Waid's).

When I meant by "or any version that's not Waid's", I meant any versions Pre-Waid. Not anyone after the guy.

Anyways, a few more Champions fan art pics.
