There's also the fact that Viv is designed to age up like a human too. She was created as a teenager, but will grow into an adult the same as the other Champions.

This! Which makes the snap together look all the more sillier.

Yesterday was a good day for the Champs. Three new issues out, and two of them mention the team.

Miles Morales Spider-Man #3 had Miles and Starling, though poor Tiana has been captured by a villain, who Miles fights later.
Venom #16 had Ms. Marvel, who mentions being an Avenger, Champion and Secret Warrior when breaking up a fight between Eddie and Dylan, who are both usually Venom but have taken new forms.
Scarlet Witch #2 had Viv Vision, who mentions that her friends, the Champions, have tried to help her get over the trauma of what happened back in her origin book, Tom King's The Vision. Wanda also mentions getting her back to the Champions at the end. While Kamala's recent appearances have implied the team is no more, this one acts like they're still together.

This might not be the right thread, but why didn't Vision try to make duplicates of his wife and son like he did with Viv when she went missing?

Probably because of how they died. Vin was murdered and his mind was gone, he couldn't be resurrected. Virginia committed suicide, so any recreation of her would've likely ended the same way. He probably learned from what happened to Vin and attempted to backup Viv, but of course it ended up spawning a new, evil persona, which the original Viv had to suppress when she took over her body. That remained an issue throughout Zub's Champions run.

Of course further developments could still happen there. We thought Viv was giving up her human form High Evolutionary had transformed her into when she downloaded herself into Viv 2.0, but Eve Ewing's run revealed she'd kept it, in the form of an image inducer. She chooses to look her robotic self most of the time, but can go incognito. Maybe Viv learned her lesson about that from Secret Empire, when she couldn't go undercover when some of the Champs were working with Black Widow, because she couldn't pass as human.

She tried to get together with Riri, but Ironheart wasn't interested (I don't think she's queer). Then she was dating a civilian girl in an Infinity Comic.

And also that boy in the Vision miniseries. You know, the one that was killed by his father while trying to kill Viv's mother.

Although supposedly Zub was going to develop that into an actual romance before Marvel nixed it.

Hmm... she wasn't revealed to be gay until Champions #2 by Waid. She kissed Amadeus, didn't like it, and realised she liked girls and not boys. The others wanted her to try it with Kamala (the only other girl in the initial roster), who of course refused, and it didn't come up again until the incident with Riri in Zub's run.

Captain Marvel ends in June with issue 50, which presumably means it'll relaunch with a new #1. I wonder if Kamala will be in that for movie synergy?
