Kind of reminds me of the Alex Ross design.
Did Wolverine 35 come out today? It wasn’t at my LCBS.
It does a little. Mainly just the long sleeves. But I do think the explanation I came up with could be a cool way to reintroduce the yellow costume, with the long sleeves for MCU synergy of course, at some point early next year prior to Deadpool 3 coming out. With all this Krakoa-tech Forge is coming up with, a self-repairing suit that can adjust with mission-specific color schemes would be a cool addition to Logan’s toolkit. At least IMO. I’m thinking it could also increase or decrease its insulation, if needed, for really extreme temps… though Logan’s healing factor pretty much takes care of him there so probably unnecessary in his case.
It would sure be a better application of Forge’s talents for him than a damn adamantium surfboard, which so far is all he’s built for Wolverine that I’ve seen. Ha.
It did not. Next week. July 26th along with Hellfire Gala and Ultimate Invasion #2 by Hickman… should be a great week!
“Not as good as I once was… but I’m as good, once, as I ever was.”
The yellow and blue was always going to come back but what better time to dust off the classic duds than by rejoining the main X-Men team after so many years ?
Although I love how they go back to the trunsk version and not the modernized Astonishing version .
All the older costumes are better
It's cool to see him back in the 90's uni but I think I prefer the current one more. Always liked the brown and tan more than the blue and yellow.
Part of me thinks this is all to get the books in step with the costumes that will be on X-Men 97 and part of me thinks Cassara asked if he could use the 90's costumes and Marvel just said yes.
I'm more for the brown costume myself but also enjoy the yellow costume, and certainly with X-Men 97 and Deadpool around the corner it's a good time for Logan to dust it off.
Personally I wish we'd seen more of this black and yellow costume Adam Kubert designed for a variant cover in the early 2000s which however never made it to the page:
