I think you are mixing up the timeline. When X-treme debuted, Austen wasnt on UXM. Joe Casey was writing it for over a year before Austen came aboard and Casey is the one that claimed Kurt. Austen inherited him when he took over Originally Posted by whitecrown
I think Chuck Austen had already claimed Kurt for UXM which is why Claremont couldn't use him. The same he had to write out Hank after the first few issues because Morrison had claimed him. X-Treme X-Men #18-19 brought in a lot of guest characters between Kurt, Logan, Jean, Hank, and Kitty for a reunion and I always figured these were all the characters Claremont would have liked to have used had he been able to.

Surprising no one is chatting about her appearance in the storm mini. She has been some what prominent for relative to be in someone else mini. It’s been a good showing for. Nice also because I didn’t read comics back when she first joined
