Titans Appreciation 2023

Yeah, Lilith is one of my favorite Titans. Glad she's going to see some use this year. Hoping she'll make a debut out of comics eventually, surprised she never cameo'd in Teen Titans or Young Justice.

When Raven first appeared, I tought she was probably Lilith and that Cyborg was Mal. In some ways, I'd have preferred that as I liked both of those character. Raven is been changed so much that I hardly recognized or care about the character.

It looks like Lilith is going back to her roots -- which I applaud. Hope they do something with Mal and Karen as well. I'd like to see Mal back in an blue/yellow exoskeletons -- even if he doesn't go by Guardian.

An offbeat idea for a new Titans series would use all of the classic members who did not make the Wolfman/Perez team and have them joined by three new characters in the roles of Dick, Donna and Wally.

Lilith was used in the Jurgens' Teen Titans because he wasn't allowed to use Raven. Her Rebirth costume also resembles Raven's. Funny how these two characters are interwined.

Are Titans United and Titans United Bloodpact good? I avoided them because I don't like the live-action show.

United was pretty good but it's mostly focused on Conner, Starfire and Nightwing with Jason acting as a foil for Dick. The book used the TV show's cast to kept the main Earth characterization. I haven't picked up Bloodpact yet.

Considering the only other Titans book at the time of the release of United was TT Academy, it really isn't a contest.

So far, I like them better than I thought I would.
The writing is consistent and the art is good too.

Imo, Kory is the only one who has a good to great costume by Season 4. Raven's would be fine if the dress were a better fit. Gar should have kept the jacket on top of his new costume. It might have balanced things a little better because that fake Kevlar and that flimsy fake armor ain't it. Dick's Nightwing costume has the opposite problem. It has too much bulky armor. It doesn't help that especially the blue parts look like plastic.

The costumes suck lol. The only one I think is good is the season 4 Starfire one.
