Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”

Hot damn. I am not usually like this, but that version of Jean, I would say “Slay!” to. The red hair really does pop. I like Scott’s look, but I am not crazy about the haphazard line pattern on Jean’s suit. It looks distracting and messy. Compared to the legs, which look very bare.
The red hair is really what carries this look.
Yikes... Who threw up on Jean's uniform?
Rather like this new Jean look! Had ti draw it.

A black Jean could be wonderful in a couple of ways, though I like her design as it is too, I must say. It could be said that such a change would likely precipitate a drop in the frequency of her appearances though. We know how Marvel is with black characters.
Could be very beneficial though. Writers that see her as just the love interest for certain characters would likely change their stance after such a color change and probably glom back onto Emma instead, which could potentially widen the sort of narrow pathway that Jean typically operates in.
