Why not? As much as I dislike the idea every one does their job but have Calvin Rankin mimic Krakoa... It could work, right?

It could be a going away story, or some dumb shit like her reaching nirvana and going away, but being alive in spirit.

This was probably Duggan's best Jean issue. I didn't like it overall, but I loved everything Jean did; she was truly the star of the show.

Yeah, they already used her death enough to bring weight into stories and have other characters grow at her expense. I hope they pull a Ms. Marvel and have her return pronto.

Is it just me or did feel Jean Grey today in the Hellfire Gala issue like the Jean Grey from X-Men: Red? Similar speeches and attitude.

That was so brutal. Throughout the Krakoa era Jean was trying to be a force for good and to see this happen to her is just ... I'm speechless. Some may criticize Krakoa for their attitudes for humanity but Orchis comes off as even worse. I know that Jean has a solo coming up and she will (hopefully) come back by the end of Fall of X but it's still upsetting to see her suffer.

Please, please let this episode be successful. There has gotta be an audience of Jean fans ready for this, whether she wins or loses. I don’t know why. It just feels good to know she draws both a casual crowd and og fans alike. She doesn’t need to be Wolverine levels, but no interest does not invoke optimism in her potential for things like these.

Im surprised it took them this long to put her in a Death Battle. Especially when they had Raven in a season 5 episode.
