Adams gushed over how much he would love to write Batman/Batfamily so I definitely expect Bats to pop up sooner rather than later. Hope he can reel himself in, obviously Hal and Bruce have a… special bond but I don’t want Batman to hijack the book. I’d rather see Barry show up and see that friendship focused on.

"The Batman" cartoon had a fun interaction between Hal, Batman & Robin because Robin thought Hal was so cool.

Yeah, I don't think Adams is the type to force Batman into things over something more natural like, say, Barry.

It's the main continuity, it was a painting that Kyle did and they hung it in Guy's bar I think.

That was the one benefit of the old status quo - the yellow weakness and the 24-hr charge.(I know Hal still needs to charge, but that's almost never used in the stories anymore) Those weaknesses allowed Hal to think, fight or strategize his way out of situations. Johns era was great, but he relied too much on "More willpower!"


Kyle and Jane could go to galleries and talk about art.
I'd rather see Guy and Tucco go a few rounds - Hal can take down the twins.
Jo would help Hank figure out it was Walter all along.
Jess and Jesse would fall in love.

Ha - I mean, Lalo might as well be Sinestro...

Also, Baz would help Nacho get out of the life and turn over a new leaf.

Tight, tight, tight....yeah!

The thing is: I like Lalo. I really hate Sinestro (proven by past rants I've posted). I'd be down with an Ollie vs Mall cook battle.

How about pairing Sinestro with Don Eladio? Two pieces of trash that like smoke blown up their chimneys.

Next time Hal gets in trouble with the Guardians, he better call Saul. Saul vs the Guardians, lol.

I would be curious to see how Hal, a person of Jewish descent, interacting with someone falsely claiming his heritage.

Lastly, Guy declaring: nobody pushes green willpower in the south valley but me, b!tch!

He’s right about it being a shakeup from what has been done in the last couple of runs with Hal off in the corner on his own… but my personal preference is seeing some of Hal’s old Rogues get revamps, or getting new Rogues over team ups and Hal fighting villains from other Rogue Galleries. The non-Emotional Spectrum GL Rogues are just begging to be modernized.

I'm all for a revamped Demolition Team.

Now time for some Green Lantern talk (series from Jeremy Adams, Xermanico, with a variant from Ivan Reis). Adams says that this series is a coming home for him, as his first television writing gig was writing on Green Lantern.

About the series Adams says, "Hal Jordan is an extremely confident guy who comes back to find that the woman he loves is in another relationship. Not that many people are being trained to be fighter pilots anymore, and the world's moved on."

Chen points out that she's picking up on some Top Gun vibes from the preview art of the series that they're showing on screen. Adams responds "Absolutely," dropping names like Maverick and Han Solo. He says the series will not be as lighthearted as Flash has been.
