I think people are just wary after Beware My Power and thinks there's a good chance of shortchanging/screwing over John for the sake of Hal because it's happened before, and whether they'll really do Hal justice (especially knowing how much Gunn reinvents characters as it is).

That's fair. I wasn't too upset by Hal being a bad guy in a direct to dvd movie, honestly, but I would certainly be bothered were the same thing to happen in a big budget film.

Understandable. I wasn't thrilled by it and thought there were a lot of strange choices, but I just shrugged it off as "Whatever, its just a direct to video thing." If they did that in the big budget live action universe, I'd start drinking like Tony Stark.

We don't really know the extent of Gunn's role as architect. I feel like it's likely his decision if the series is meant to have Hal turn into Parallax, or die or live on for future appearances. King is one of the writers, but he's not the showrunner is he?

Neither King nor Gunn are rumored to be showrunning. I believe the Showrunner of Ozark(?) is in talks. Gunn has an overall plan that everyone has to slot into, but he’s not going to be hands on with everything.

So many peoples' guesses for the big surprise character for Adams' run were on-point .

Yeah, I think Adams is going to adapt GL:TAS into comic canon in the next few issues.

Feel he's got a blue for sure. Hal implies that his ring gets "supercharged" somehow.

Thanks for sharing. I won't get my hopes up though. I wonder what those images are -- if it's part of the packaging, it's interesting they'll put Hal up front that way considering ... Ironically, when Hal was super popular in the comics, they usually avoided putting him on the covers of the animated movies because there was still a stink on him from the live movie.
