Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain Appreciation 2023

I found it really interesting that Hickman had both Betsy and Brian as Captain Britain in one of his alternate reality Illuminati's in New Avengers.

Yeah, that is interesting to have both of them apparently active on the same team together with the same title. I'm also intrigued with Betsy's seemingly multi-coloured hair there. Overall it seems white or maybe a platinum blonde...but then parts of it seem to have pink highlights and other parts seem to have lavender highlights. Hmm.

Also, Reed has apparently been working on his squats before that scene. Even Emma looks like she's trying to take a peek at his backside.

I'm fine with Betsy moving forward with being Captain Britain and I'm also fine with Kwannon being Psylocke. Just need a better writer for Betsy because Kwannon had one with Zeb Wells in the Hellions. If ever they need to change the codename for Betsy, how about a simple Lady Braddock? Remember the time Mike Carey used that name for his Age of X event? That was cool for me and so is the story. Such a good writer too, imho.

I would love her going by Lady Braddock. And I still would like for her to be Monarch since the codename did not really stick with Janie anyways.

But while I wouldn't mind "Monarch" for Betsy and I enjoy her as Captain Britain, I'm all for the classics so Brian = Captain Britain, Betsy = Psylocke and Kwannon = Revenche.

Yeah it's a fun reference to her first time as Captain Britain back in the Marvel UK stories. She wore a wig with different colors as part of her costume.
