Additional thoughts on the Gala outfit...

While I like the idea of the oversized coat...the fur around the collar...with the hair, the criss-cross straps and diamond...makes the top part too busy and messy. I would keep the top part simpler with diamond lapels, so as not to detract from X details underneath but add the fur to the ends of the the sleeves and coat-tail, instead. The X motif on the back is completely unnecessary.

To me, Noto's Emma always looks...bland and unfinished, always...as though he can't/doesn't want to put in the extra effort for her visuals. That's just a basic white strapless body suit, with gloves. Nothing about it feels and looks like Emma.

I think Notos art in general is just plain and sometimes boring, a lot of his female characters all look the same the looks he uses for them are almost always bland…

I agree, not usually but on this cover she looks boring. Emma should never look boring.
