I wonder... with the Kings in Black refigured as the Onyx Kings, opposite to the Beyonder's Ivory Kings, if Amatsu-Mikaboshi the Chaos King might have been a past King in Black as well? He and Knull's origins were always intensely similar.

And let's not forget Nyx, the Greek goddess of the primordial darkness, the same primordial darkness that spawned Knull and Amatsu-Mikaboshi, who appeared in Avengers: No Road Home, which Al Ewing participated in writing.

After reading #18, I'm pretty blown away.

However I do have to say something. Something I've said a lot in the last couple of months.

Even in a throwaway line, Spider-Man is treated with more reverence and admiration than he is in his own damn book.

It also makes me wonder....about the original secret wars. And if Beyonder knew what he was doing when Spider-Man got his black suit?

Probably, Peter was born to be the King in Black, it is his destiny!



But...because cool stuff happened in the 80's, the Onxy Kings have to settle for Eddie instead.

Samurai Venom makes me think of Marvel Mangaverse's Spider-Man that had him and Venom as ninja belonging to the Spider-Clan, only in the backstory, Venom went rogue and killed Uncle (and Sensei) Ben.

Dylan cleans up nicely for the gala. Would really love to see him interracting more with the Marvel U as the new Venom, so far feels like he's gotten a few team ups here but not enough to really make an impression on the larger super hero community. I don't think the majority of them even know he's the current Venom.

That will be fun, and it is cool him and Ms. Marvel are kinda buds. I wish Peter was part of this story, I feel like he and Eddie really had a break through as friends, and that he would be there for Dylan during this tough time.
