Yes that looks even better. The page where he blows up Warren doesnít quite pop the same way without coloring.

Iím keeping my eyes glued on his sale page. Thinking of buying that Romy page.

Echoing what others have said, he's a 90s creation and X-Fans who liked the books in the 80s didn't really like the direction the books went in the 90s and Gambit is a by-product of that, so he's an easy target. And he had some decent stories when Claremont was writing (and Nicieza) but then Lobdell did the Trial story and now no one will ever let him live it down that he was "responsible" (using a loose interpretation of that word) for the Mutant Massacre.
Actually, I started reading in the 80's and enjoyed the 90's as well. I think Gambit is a great character and the 90s contributed some great things to the X-mythos. My feelings on writers dislike for certain characters is fine but to go out of your way to trash a character in the comic your writing is immature and unprofessional. I know what its like with my favorites as well and its not fun. Kurt and Kitty being 2 of my faves I never hated Gambit because of the Mutant Massacre, so I guess I'm in the minority. As I was speaking of how writers treat characters I like what Foxe has been doing and I'm happy he is going to be on an upcoming team. Here's to the best for Gambit this coming year.

Yeah, hopefully those that do hate Gambit are just a vocal minority, but who knows. At least when it comes to comic writers, it seems like the minority actually like him.

Which on the other hand is ridiculous, saying publicly that you hate a character is only going to make people not buy your comics.
I doubt very much that fans will buy a comic of a character they don't like just because the author doesn't like it.

The clear example is the last R&G mini, it was made for people who didn't like the couple, but those people weren't going to buy a comic about them.

Or well it could also be that it's just bad and very badly edited. But it all comes from the fact that this X-office doesn't give a shit about Rogue and Gambit.

Yeah, that solo just seemed like a way for them to try to weasel us out of more money for a sub-par story featuring them.

I'm hoping Brevoort will do something good with them

    Beautiful art.
Foxe really surprised me with his Dark X-Men. I don't care about the main plot, Maddy and villains, really, but his Gambit is awesome.

I would like this book to be more than 5 issues so we can see Remy interact more with all these characters that Gamit had now adventures before. Definetely would like to see more of Gambit/Azazel.

Oh man, those X-Men Blue: Origins spoilers got me all giddy! I'm not mad at it and seriously ...

I still think it is HIGHLY suspicious that we don't know Rogue's original surname, she has never mentioned her living father or tried to find/confront him. And he has never been seen to seek her either, in a negative or positive light. Sure, you can chalk it up to the hurt and resentment of a potentially abused runaway and/or the anti-mutant hatred of a terrible parent. Or ... is Owen not actually Rogue's biological parent or at least had that suspicion? How is it that Rogue and Destiny just happened upon an orphan mutant girl in a forest in the middle of rural Mississippi???

I don't think it's a coincidence at all, knowing who Mystique and Destiny are and those new spoilers. Anyway, I'll let that sit in fanfic for now.

But I sure would love a miniseries with Rogue, Gambit, Kurt, Mystique and Destiny trapped in some situation that forced them to confront their relationships and work together. I'd love to see Destiny or Mystique recognize how good Remy has been for their daughter and see Kurt and Remy bond. I'd love to see Rogue talk to both of her Moms on panel at once!

Yeaah, I'd love to see a family book about them, but written by someone who respects Remy as a character.

Because if it's going to turn into a we all hate Remy with "I hate my in-law" humor I don't even want it as a gift.

Make it Addams-type family humor not Married with Children....
(We don't need to see Irene manspreading on the couch, asking for someone to bring her a beer) lol.

Yeah, I know we've said it a thousand times at this point but it would have been way more interesting of a dynamic if Destiny actually did like Remy while Mystique still hates him. Although, I did like your theory from the Gambit thread about Destiny hating Gambit because she knows his ties to Sinister (unless I mis-read that).

Considering the appeal of the Adams Family has original been all about being weird, grotesque and somewhat charmingly creepy, yet wholesome in their own way, it would certainly fit an X-gene mutant family series more than the low brow sitcom style comedy which has become so commonplace in US medi, often with main characters so self centered and vain that it's hard to build up any sympathy for them or their oddness.

Hahaha I have many theories on why Destiny hates Remy ( or well I just need to fill in the blanks lol).

One is the one you mention ( Because of his relationship with Sinister) another one is because she has seen that he is going to take Rogue away from them ( luckily for Rogue).

A mutant version of Modern Family would be very entertaining as well.

My lord, yessssss. Adams Family and Modern Family are exactly the kind of vibes I want, though I do think some repair is in order for them to get there. Everyone has been kinda crappy to Remy, even Rogue in that last mini. Irene and Raven owe so much to Kurt ... really Rogue too. Rogue needs to stand up for Remy and up to her Moms.

Perhaps a therapy sesh is in order. I don't care if Mystique and Remy remain catty forever tbh, but I need him to connect with Kurt alittle and get some kudos from Irene.

Adams Family, a cameo of Sinister with his cape, or Azazel or both, Rogue in Wednesday's look
