It's really bad. The story is lame, the focus is lame, and the art is bizarre. At least something finally happened in issue #4 -- but "scoobie doo" is a great way to describe how the plot is unfolding. Disappointing, IMO.

Frankly, I'm not even sure why the New Mutants are attached to this.

For pretty much the same reasons New Mutants/X-Force fans had X-Statix dumped on them. For some reason the people responsible for it and those supporting it though we would blindly accept the dogshit.

Same for the New Mutants Movie.

I wouldn't insult scoobie doo by comparing it to this garbage though. At it's worse, scoobie doo was still watchable.

Imagine that, for once I agree with rcaguy. Leave Scooby Doo alone.

Admittedly, I'm judging Lethal Legion on Anders' run on New Mutants. I haven't decided yet if I want to read LL on Marvel Unlimited, or not.

If you read the issue, the analogy would make a lot of contextual sense.

Agree wholeheartedly with your second sentence -- this is more of the same as the final few issues of volume 4, which Anders was responsible for.

I'm slightly annoyed that they named Dani after Typhoid Mary...

I hope Dani gets some good panel time in the Gala -- I'm running out of ideas for discussion.

    Not meant as an insult.

Scooby Do is as Scooby will do. It's their thing.

Dani and the rest? Not so much.

The Legion Legion isn't much better, frankly.

Just that Dani's third in importance on the list.

Magik, Typhoid Mary, Dani Moonstar and other mutants are in Vanaheim for Realm of X.
Or did you mean my second sentence?

Typhoid Mary simply has presence across the wider Marvel Universe, thanks to being a known Daredevil villian, while Mirage is a B-lister from the X-verse's satelite title land, so it makes sense why they would put her name ahead in an attempt to raise awareness.

At least she is still seemingly considered important enough to be name dropped unlike the other two.

Oh, I agree. I'm only slightly annoyed by it. I probably wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't so quiet around here.

(And there are 3 others, not 2.)

Someone was saying something about Dani not being likely to go along with Cable leading X-Force some pages back. Which is making me wonder, what are Dani's views on the use of lethal force? How about revenge? It was her goal to kill the the guy who killed Black Eagle. Think she might still view eye for an eye as correct under the right circumstances?

GOTCHA. I thought you were implying that Dani's name was somehow tied to Typhoid Mary [as in, she was named after her -- not that her name was listed sequentially after her].

Based on her time with the MLF I would say that she prefers to avoid using lethal force.

You mean towards the end of the NM? The NMs were effectively orphans, being abandoned by Xavier, Magneto and X-Factor. i think she may have been disillusioned by authority especially another old white man swooping in to try and be their authority figure. I think ultimtely she may have stayed on but they'd have clashed
