Yep. The ongoing has been cancelled and the mini doesn't start for two more months. I suspect the mini is just too tide over fans until Fall off X.

Nope. Best we can hope for is that Dani gets some good scenes in Lethal Legion and Karma in Love.

And them there's Fall of X, of course. What are your hopes for Dani after the reshuffle? To see her in a New Mutants relaunch, or a new book all together?

I thought the Demon Bear was the one who absorbed them. And this raises the question, who created the bear?

I'm not sure who "created" it -- the Demon Bear is metaphysical, and I think it's origin has been retconned by various writers over the years.

I think that there might have been a story outside of New Mutants [and I'm just going from memory, so I'm probably not summarizing this correctly] in one of the X-Books, where it started out as the embodiment of Native American spirits, but was somehow corrupted by black magic, which drove it insane and changed it's nature.

Anyone recall?

X-Force, Necrosha arc Warpath fought a Demon Bear that was made when Selene's former boy-toy corrupted his tribe's animal spirits, but it is not related to the Demon Bear that stalked Dani.
