Default The cost of classic GI Joe comics

I thought it might be fun to go read the old classic GI Joe Marvel comics. When I started looking up the old issues on ebay, and even the collected editions, I was floored with how pricey they are. I had no idea they have become such a hot item to have. Was it due to their current IDW success?

All out of print. Check your public library website they may have some of the trades there if you're lucky.

Those books are from an era where trades did not follow 6 issue mandated story arcs.

So while some might have been thrown into a trade here and there-the entire series is not.

You would need to visit local comic shop bins and comic cons to get as many of those issues you can cheap.

Just remember that last issue might be the hardest to get.

Heads up if you're after the singles. Special missions, gijoe yearbook and gijoe vs transformers are all canon and referenced in the main gijoe book. Special missions' issue 7 has an important plot point in fact for the main title. Also, an issue of gijoe has a jj subplot plot crossed over with an issue of amazing spider-man. Transformers generation 2 issue 2 is also needed as it wraps up a big plot from gijoe.

Order of battle can be skipped other than seeing rocky in gijoe. It's just handbook profiles.

For older books they may cost you more, but you could check mycomics.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm able to find them, I was just floored at the cost of these old issues and the trades. Guess I wasn't aware of how in demand these old comics were!

With ROM coming out in omnibus form, might it also be possible that GI Joe does as well?
