Felt like such a waste that they gave her a great new costume, made her leader of the Outsiders, and still did nothing with her.

Cassie always works best in casual attire like the Nauck design. It's part of her juxtapositional charm to her 'sisters'. Diana is dressed in a bit of a warrior's attire. Donna is dressed in fashionable attire. Cassie is dressed in a relaxed style.

I realize that the recent look for Cassie references her clunky newbie outfits of her early days, but I wonder if it's also influenced by the Ms.Marvel Kamala Khan popularity. Surprised I didn't see the possible parallel earlier.

They're actually very alike. They're both superhero fangirls who became superheroes themselves. Cassie "borrowed" some gear and made herself Wonder Woman's new sidekick, taking the abandoned codename of her previous one. Kamala gained powers by unrelated means and decided to take her favourite hero's former name, as Carol Danvers had recently become the new Captain Marvel. Both Cassie and Kamala also gained more powers later - Cassie when she discovered she was a demigoddess, and Kamala with her recent discovery that she's not just an Inhuman, but also a mutant. And they both led their own team (Cassie's had stints as leader of both Young Justice and Teen Titans, and Kamala created the Champions).

They're so similar in fact, that in the Heroes Reborn event a couple of years ago, in a world where the Avengers don't exist, and the JLA knockoffs the Squadron Supreme are the main heroes, Kamala was instead a fan of Power Princess, the counterpart of Wonder Woman, and was basically given Cassie's original origin (this happened in a one-shot called Young Squadron).

"noticeable transition".... I wouldn't call that a transition. It's like the George of the Jungle meme with him faceplanting on a tree. It's a violently abrupt character re-design, not just costume but everything.

Beautiful. This is one of my favorite Cassie looks. It makes her look mature and growing into her Amazon abilities.

I like the toga top of 3 with the red jeans of 2. The toga top is quintessential "Wonder Girl" to me, when it's slightly sheer with a metallic eagle it grows up and becomes more mature. With red jeans it echoes Donna's red costume in a modern way. Two inches of midriff is cool, completely bare says Christina Aguilera in 2002.

My Wonder-Twinsie, we seem to again like the same thing!

But I like all of #3 better, since mixing it with red pants is too much like robbing Donna's closet, lol.

Also, the #3 hair and face are beautiful and align her with her beautious Sisters, Diana and Donna, albeit as a blonde version.
