For Marvels, you didn't need to watch anything to understand what was going on. But if you wanted to, you would watch 6 Episodes of Ms Marvel and 9 of Wandavision. So 15 episodes in over 2 years. Yeah, that is WAY to difficult to keep up.
The Reality of it is that MCU is not Must See anymore. The Pandemic slowed that down dramatically. Now they need to slow down too and build it back up to what it was. Plus when one is on top so long, people start to hate it, be it the Yankees, Cowboys, Patriots, Friends, Office, Seinfeld, MCU etc. It's the human nature.
Disagree with you, lot of peoples have complained that to follow the MCU is like to do homework, for us it's not alot, but the general audience it's more complicated, specially a movie like The 'Marvels" who present itself like a direct sequel of a TV show, most audience will logically wait for Disney plus to see everything, some other will simply ignore them, but it's clearly not New viewer friendly, that clear the audience have new habit post-covid and the apathy about the theaters experience (box office in general are really Bad), that nothing to do with a MCU fatigue but more about New accessibilty from streaming, look the final of Loki was the same day that the Marvels, and Loki is probably more important for the général story of the multiverse.

But agree that things can't stay too long, specially with multiples TV shows, movies etc ..centered around the same World, Marvel seem aware of that according the rumor and will prepare a reboot after Secret Wars or a little after that

Yeah uh, it’s very easy to consume a lot of content when it’s something you actually enjoy. And something that is easy to digest.

I can only speak to my microcosm, but every time the MCU is brought up in conversation with co-workers and relatives, they always say the same thing: they used to be into it but felt overwhelmed by all of the media being produced each year, were not impressed by the quality of the Disney+ shows, and are not invested in the new characters or the overarching plot.

So I really think this franchise has followed in the footsteps of the comics; they’ve oversaturated the market and begun alienating casual consumers with geeky exposition dumping about foreign concepts like incursions, variants, timeline wars, etc. It’s much harder for the average person to wrap their head around than a treasure hunt for magical gemstones.

Lot of peoples love these TV shows and follow them, they are big success and a strong attraction for Disney plus, yes that mean that will hurt the box office but in the same they have won the streaming audience, they have clearly chosen to focus to this new audiences, because they are aware that the theatrical experience is close to death

Yes he have said Marvel need to make less different contents, and less sequels for movies, but in the same time he have said he want multiples seasons in the future for TV shows, why multiples seasons ?, simply to force peoples to continue to subscribe to Disney and don't delete their account after their TV favorite shows is finished, for example despite the quality, Disney have asked Marvel to stop to make the ones shot like werewolf by night, Marvel loved this format but Disney don't care, the reason was simply because they can't keep the audience week after week with a short movie.

I have read several month ago about a very interesting leaks, that Marvel is aware that become very difficult to follow everything and that their plan for the reboot (after Secret Wars) is to focus about few TV shows with traditional multiples seasons, I can't find but it was before Iger or rumor about reboot.

This is so ridiculous. They change her costume, fine, but changing the past iterations too is pathetic. Why didn't they cover Sam's body, while they'are at it?

Yeah it's kinda stupid. If it's a new adptation or whatever, sure. But doing it on arts that are meant to showcase the past that feels like retroactive history.

Yeah. I guess this trend started with New 52's redesign of the Dick Grayson Robin? They eventually retconned it as only being his last pre-Nightwing suit, but the original suit is now depicted with pants too (as seen in the current World's Finest book which takes place when the Teen Titans are just starting out). Someone decided superheroes wearing only trunks (like Aqualad, who's also been given pants in the World's Finest books) or leotards (like both Robin and Ms. Marvel) is outdated, so they're updated even in flashbacks.

Carol's hair isn't accurate on that cover either, it looks more relaxed, matching how she had it in her civilian guise - but in costume it was usually flicked up and didn't touch the shoulders. That only changed with the Cockrum redesign.

On the new Dick Grayson pants, yes, that is true, but in the book at least they justify the change.
But as all those changes they come and go and it seems the original always come back.

And his original shorts suit is still canon. He just went through costume changes.

    Exactly.

Now back to what is important, do you think the new status quo in the comics, with the quantum bands, is going to last longer?
