Why do you suppose they are making Beast act the way he is now? I know a guy on youtube said it's very entertaining. But why use a traditionally hero character for this? Gonna fall back on the the old, "why not not just make a new character"? Just say he's known been associated with the X-men for a long time and slot him in Beast's current place. or expand on an obscure mutant and use them.

I heard somewhere a while back that marvel isn't very good at making villains which is why they make heroes fight heroes so much. I'm sure the person was a least half joking when they said that though.

that wouldnt work bc people only care bc its Beast. You wouldnt get the same passion and reactions if it were some brand new character. Hank has been able to do what he has bc he is a long trusted ally and was given a position of power bc of it. With that said its really only one writer that has used him in this capacity this era and Percy has worked hard to build him up as a new major threat in Wolverine's Rogue's gallery. I think Marvel has allowed that to happen bc I dont feel like the current crop of writers care about Beast nor want to use him. Unfortuantely he's not really missed as alot of material that would have been up his alley has gone to Forge (whom is thriving with this newfound importance among the X-men)

I really think he should have gone out with Cecilia Reyes. They seemed to have a good dynamic going. I thought I saw a story where he asks her on a date, but I'm fuzzy on the details, and he was still dating Trish Trilby at the time.

I also kinda thought there should've been something between Emma Frost and Hank. He did painstakingly put her back together when she was shattered in her diamond form.
