Pretty sure the artist was supposed to draw Anya but screwed up. He also mixed up Hazmat from that crappy fighting game with Hazmat from Avengers Academy, so there's precedent.

That does make a lot more sense, especially since Mary Jane is later seen pregnant with what I am assuming is this messed up timeline's version of Mayday during Marvel Universe vs. The Punisher mini-series. Still though, it is nice unintended cameo.

It was confirmed by the editor that indeed was originally supposed to be Jennifer Takeda, but the artist mixed them up when he googled "Hazmat marvel".

Kind of wild you'd just google stuff if you're not sure and not say, ask the editor whose job it is to know these things. Doesn't the Official Handbook literally exist for this kind of situation?
