From an obvious JLI fan.
oh my gosh I forgot about that cat!! I love that she has Streaky, but I wish she still had that poor old thing. how fun would it be.
I just got around to reading the Power Girl special. It was ok. I was a bit unimpressed with the 4 horsemen of Sorrow in that they were dispatched pretty much off panel...maybe they will be back around one day? Otherwise it was serviceable. I felt the 'reunion' at the end was all a little bit too gushy touchy feely for PG. I do love that she is seen as a member of the family, but the whole thing read out of character for her.
I still dont get the "Paige" thing. We just kind of jumped full speed ahead into that with zero monologue as to why she went with that after using Karen for so long.
Admittedly I haven't read a lot of Leah Williams work. Mostly her X-Men stuff and the truncated Amazing Mary Jane series. I found Mary Jane to be fun as was X-Terminators while X-Factor was one of the best X books coming out at the time. As such I have high hopes for her work on the upcoming series, but I dont feel like this special (nor the previous back ups) lived up to her previous Marvel work. Williams is capable of writing some fun and funny stories, I hope we get that Leah Williams.
