I will agree with you on that. From the perspective of Kurt’s storyline that followed on from LoX, his death is quick. But in comparison to everyone else, yeah he got a good and meaningful death. Plus he was one of the only mutants we saw who wasn’t corrupted by Sinister.

I really liked that Kurt maintained his beliefs (even though he’s still missing the hope-sword) and fought back against Mother Righteous rather than succumbing to the curse. He’s been fighting it for years by this point which takes some real mental fortitude.
That being said, I do think that he was killed way too quickly/easily, by his own sword!. I understand the ‘Nightcrawler’s’ is fast paced because of its three issue run but there was a lot of set-up for Kurt’s magic mutation that didn’t really pay off for me.
But it’s good to see his influence in the chimera’s.

Not seeing anything about Kurt in June’s solicitations, so I guess I’m still waiting to find out what happens from ‘Sons of X’ in May.
I’m wondering what his fate will be in the final issue. Spurrier’s synopsis states there will be status quo changes for many of the characters and it’s likely that will mean for Nightcrawler also. For Kurt to regain his original form, both he and Margali would have to die and Kurt be resurrected; as SOS established that even if Margali’s curse is lifted, the cursed mutant has to be resurrected to stop the monster mutation and revert back to normal.
And unless Legion, Nightcrawler and co retrieve the hope-sword, Kurt would be resurrected without knowing it’s missing as he hasn’t had a back-up since Margali attacked. So he’d be left with this emptiness that Mother Righteous indicated was painful enough for him to consider making a deal with her.
That is of course if resurrection is even a thing after SOS (although I think it will be).
I’m rambling, I had a lot of thoughts after the June solicits.
