I was pretty nervous there for a minute but it sounds like Blue Beetle could continue if the first movie is successful.

Honestly, I'm really not a huge fan based on the very limited time we've seen her. I don't get the point, really. She is supposed to be a legacy character, and descended from both Ted and Michael on different sides, but she just seemed like a goofy, time-traveling Harley-Quinn-type, just wacky for purposes of wacky. I don't care if we never see her again.

She actually is a descendant of Ted, Booster, and Jaime.

They’ve showed her linkage and all 3 of them are in her family tree.



Maybe one of Jaime’s kids married one of Ted’s grandchildren?

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is leaving HBO Max which is a huge bummer. That show kinda cemented Jaime as a legitimate part of the DCU and not just a flash in the pan. The episode “Fall of the Blue Beetle” showed how cool Ted was and even had images of Dan Garrett. It really introduced the Blue Beetle to a whole new audience. It’s very possible we wouldn’t be getting a Blue Beetle movie without Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I like the concept and her relationship with Jai in One Minute Special was cute.

I might've preffered her as Ted's niece through his sister but her being Ted and Michael's granddaughter could be fun.

It's Kord or Reyes for me. Kord got an epic sendoff in Countdown and I like how this affected Booster and to an extent Fire and Guy

I like Dan Garret conceptually as the supernatural angle feels fresh from Jaime's. I wish he was used back in Robinson's Earth 2 run. I'd like to do a 1940s period piece with him.

I like Kord but he feels more like a support player than a lead.

Ever since people started talking about Victoria Kord, I had this vague memory of Ted having a brother... but couldn't place it.

Finally found it, reading through the tears on a retread of "Countdown to Infinite Crisis." Does anyone know of any other mention of a brother?
