Said it once and going to say it again. They don’t have ideas for Scott. They don’t know what to do with him what would be new, fresh and interesting. For years he was the main (and only) leader of mutants but Krakoa changed it and introduced the council. Xoffice definitely decided to put old leaders in the background or make them boring/bad ones; Scott, magneot, Xavier, Wolverine and even rogue and kitty. They definitely want to put mostly x-women first (I don’t complain tho).
The best thing for Scott (imo)? war captains book or Scott going dark in fall of x; his wife dead, his son captured, his dream of United nation of mutants is ruined and council failed, mutants are seen as enemies again. There is no Krakoa and there is no council so Scott doesn’t need to play by their rules anymore. There is potential for that but the question is does xoffice wants Scott to be still A-list character or just be used to as a prop to sell books better

Thats simply not true. He was fro Astonishing through Schism where the mutants were divided and Wolverine took up the mantle as a leader that half of them followed and counted on. Scott definitely wasnt post-AvX where he became a fugitive and his brand of X-men largely werent recognized as being official. There was a whole period where he was dead (and teen Scott most certainly wasnt leading anything) and Storm became the primary followed by Kitty and then Jean. Scott didnt become a leader again till his return where almost everyone was presumed dead and he was leading about a dozen muants whom were dropping like flies under his watch. Its revisionist history to claim that this Krakoa era is what moved him from being the sole mutant leader. That simply isnt true

Cyclops doesn't need to be the sole leader, he needs to be well written and competent again. Gillen and Bendis did a great job for Cyclops. In the Krakoa era we just have the writers doing him dirty.
Bendis was... okay until that Last Will/Tempus double-whammy happened.
Scott and Jean keep dying on each other. They might rank up there as the most tragic love story in the X-world or even Marvel in general
Bendis had some good moments, he at least presented things from a perspective where Scott wasn't a psycho. Considering what was going on in Remender's Uncanny Avengers and in Aaron's WaTXM, it was a saving grace.
The biggest problem in Bendis Uncanny X-Men is for a time it looked like it as building towards something, but it all leaded to nothing.
