We have for some time wishing Cyclops would get more attention from editorial and creative teams, but now a big shake up is coming we can't not fear Cyclops may end up getting the Beast treatment, right?

I wouldn't mind if Cyclops turned into an anti-hero. Honestly, I would really like him to turn into a new Magneto. Max isn't 100% cruel and sadistic, Scott doesn't have to be either. Being a traditional hero sometimes makes Scott seem naive and boring. Scott's best years were the ones when he gave off anti-hero vibes (if that's how the Marvel Universe sees him, so be it). So as long as he's doing interesting things and has his character arc, I'm fine with that.

I just read the Gillen Immortal thing. I didn't see anything about Cyclops. Only new characters.

Gillen says he wanted to have the portraits of all the QC members when he does his narrator issue.

He says he now gets to write Jean and Apocalypse for single issues despite them leaving. Same must apply to the last QC member Cyclops

Revolutionary Cyclops was so popular that he got a good song telling his story. Today few people seem to care about the Cyclops in the books thanks to the treatment he is receiving.

Despite everything that happened in AvX, Cyclops was given his own story arc and Brevoort said he was still heroic and likable.

Duggan's interview only made me feel worse about the whole situation. It seems like he really only messed with Scott and Jean to remove them from the team and create hardship/drama for the characters. I know that's the conclusion most of us came to, but it's unfortunate to see it basically confirmed. I guess he just feels like torturing Scott recently. I hope there's a payoff and that it isn't just Scott as the new "Xavier".
