Why is everyone questioning if she was in a roller derby? Robin even says "You drove in a demolition derby?" and "You dont even know how to drive!"

I've read only a few issues from the origin Teen Titans run (I know I should read more, but it's SOOO dated), so I'm not familiar with Donna as a mid-teen. Was she portrayed this impulsively? I'm so used to Wolfman's/Jimenez's versions of her -- more level-headed.
No, she wasn't this impulsive. I think Waid took elements of their personalities from the Silver Age and injected steroids.
For the most part, the characters had similar personalities. I think Roy was a little more outgoing than Wally or Dick. Donna was the typical pretty girl, but unlike Jean Grey of the same era -- she got to do some stuff. I tend to favor the latter part of the run that featured the supernatural elements. Also, the series featured some great art from Nick Cardy who designed the Wonder Girl jumpsuit.
