That's a bit odd at the end there. She brushes her hair, and that's enough to change her hairstyle? Letting down the ponytail is fair enough, but brushing your hair doesn't make it grow! It would've made more sense if the bangs had already grown out.

Of course, this is nothing unusual with comics, costume changes coming with a new hairstyle, even though if it's longer than the old look, it'd realistically take some time to grow.

Yeah, Sue Storm was well-known for doing the combing hair and it was suddenly longer, shorter, bobbed, curled under, etc.
