Also.... Future Donna talks about how the future is immutable, but.....tries to change it anyways. also.... why? what made her decide to rewrite 1400 years of history? She claims she just wants to help her past self, but why is 1400+ year old Donna obsessed with the pain of losing her friends?

They really do have a lot in common: the only girl on the 5-people teen team, graduated to a more powerful persona, lost control over that power, the convulted history, the retcons, the "mother" role within the team... also, both look stunning when drawn by Phil Jiminez, but then again pretty much everyone does
I would love for Donna and Jean to interact one day, as unlikely as that may be.
Thanks. Yes, they really do have much in common.
Besides what we both have stated above, these women prefer peace to war, have had 2 code names, but now both go by their birth names, and finding a new superheroine name that is perfect is a HARD thing for both!
Oh, I agree! Maybe a new crossover of DC/Marvel with the Titans and the X-Men (not having to do with Dark Phoenix, lol!)?

The problem is that they kept elements of the 52. If you notice , we go from the 52 's " evil Donna made of remnents of statue Hippolyta and a sacrificed Amazon as an enemy" to a vague explanation of " createdcas a weapon to destroy Diana, but we stopped that and placed false memories of you being a rescued child."
So they were still sticking with the " created as an enemy" but without the other details. They merged the 52 version with the sister version, by having the sister version be a false memory implanted in the " created as an enemy" version.
So it becones hard to say " oh, she's back to the old origin" when they show memories of Donna having a life on the Island.... because, are those memories legit or the false memories?
Until the Donna Troy Titans issue when it finally laid out. " ...sister rescued... "
Now it feels like it's official, and not just hinted at/ suggested/ but never clearly addressed.
That's been part of the issue with all the changes post COIE. Nothing is ever cleary explained or laid out anymore.
Donna's origin is the one shown in Tales of the Titans issue 3.

If Troia is gone, then there is really no reason for the star field or even the black costume.
