So after reading DC Power #1, I gotta say I now hate Vixen's hairstyle....and her fashion sense is even worse.

Power wise: spoilers:

Nothing to really talk about. Bird for flight. Tortoise for defense Octopus for offense...which showed her using energy tentacles to fight Black Manta.

It is Luke and he has a "Batcave in the Congo" not a big Batwing fan so I had no idea this was a thing. Vixen comes on pretty strong and reminds me of JLoA Detroit Vixen. Apparently, this is their second mission together. Their first was against Killer Croc in Gotham.

Anyone who has superpowers that are a part of themselves and not technology or magic. Vixen uses a magical totem (without which, she's powerless) and Batwing uses power armour, so neither are metas. In fact the only meta in the Bat family is Signal. The Superman Family, except for the Steels (who use power armours like Batwing does), are metas. Wonder Woman would count as one too, but probably only her and the Wonder Girls, rather than all of the Amazons. Starfire, Aquaman and Beast Boy are also metas (all Tamaraneans and Atlanteans would be considered as such as they have innate powers base homo sapiens do not). Cyborg is not though, he's a tech-based hero. Zatanna and Constantine aren't metas either. Not sure about Raven and Shazam though, as those two are certainly magic powered, but they both also seem to have standard metahuman abilities too (unlike Zee and John, who are spellcasters and only that).

Vixen has her animal powers without the totem; the totem is only used to help her focus and concentrate on her powers so that they don't overwhelm her. When she was first created as a character, she needed the totem to use her powers but over time DC did away with that and made it so that Vixen's powers are innate. If Vixen didn't use that totem to help her focus, her animal powers would overwhelm her and she would become feral, like what happened in an issue of "Justice League" back in that storyline when Vixen's totem was stolen to make Amazo stronger.

She not powerless without her totem. Her powers are within her.
