Last time i read about Stormcaster, it was turned to dust, is there more about this hammer after that?

So basically all this hammers are destroyed and in Bill's case already having plot for a new arc where he (should) get a new weapon (twilight sword + technological axe made by Skuttlebutt), yet this creative decision is to applaud?

We don't know the creative decision yet.

There's nothing to applaud or criticize here beyond the cover.

It could be Thor variants or something like that from different realities or different timelines, at this point, we have no idea.

"Well, let’s talk about that cover… it’s basically everyone—well, not everybody, because Eric Masterson is sadly no longer with us—but a whole bunch of people who have previously been Thor are Thor again... to back up Thor. The main Thor!"

    OK. I stand corrected.

But at least, Ewing said they're backing up the "main Thor".

That at least gives me hope that Odinson isn't going to be sidelined in his own story (like what happened during Aaron's run).

I'm don't think one can really applaud or criticize this yet until we see how it's executed. (fingers crossed that Ewing doesn't drop the ball here).

Weird stuff about that alt-Valkyrie is that apparently she's the Thor of her universe, being the primary daughter of Odin and stuff.

Which since I haven't heard much about Ahmed's Exiles I guess it wasn't anything special.

Don't forget what i said about Bill, its more a question of path than execution, i really wanted to continue what was established in his mini, he was getting something with his own effort, established with his own lore, and there was still the making it work part, to finally get out of Thor's shadow.

This is important to me because i am against concepts like the ones used by Aaron where there is just no effort, no learning, just miracle storms.

Hey, Thor rallies his besties! That's sweet

Nice contrast with Hulk, the loner. Tho even he had accrued a crew across 50 issues of Immortal. Though the real "team" was inside Banner's head.

So it may include weapons but more in the vain of a weapon for one purpose like in GIllen's Dísir Arc, he honestly doesn't need a special Asgardian weapon, a book or a map in Loki's hand becomes special.
Over the last few years they've given Loki a sword and a mostly pointless magical staff because movie synergy or something. He/she almost never uses either. I like that Gillen showed that Loki is capable with a weapon, but Loki's best weapon will always be his/her resourcefulness. It's a pretty key part of the character.

Honestly, it's kind of my low-key headcanon that the last few years for Thor just...didn't happen. Everyone gets a hammer except Thor, who gets crippling depression. Thanks, but no....

Like symbiotes, Iron Man armor, and spider-powers, its one of those concepts Marvel ran into the ground.

Freyja only was her own character, when she picked her chariot and her giant cats, and went to the world tree and cut the Angels from the after life, in revenge from baby Angela kidnapping, obviously did not happen in the main title or even when Angela was first established as Thor's sister, it had to be K. Gillen.
