Many times I have wondered if Thor retains memories and knowledge of when he was Donald Blake, if that were so, he could practice surgeon skills to save lives at a time when it was not necessary to be a warrior, even his hammer used in a responsible, careful and skilled way, It could serve to relive the heart of another person.

Walter Simonson's run is Thor to me. One of the best comic book runs ever.

Hopefully, Thor will have a great 2023. But, I’ve no idea what to expect for the character going forward. If there is going to be a creative change then Marvel has to get a writer who wants to write the character in a respectful and positive way and when he loses he shouldn’t have to be humiliated at the expense of the other character(s.
I’d love Hickman to write the book, but one can dream.

    Happy New Year Thor

Maybe the downfall of Thor is that Loki become more and more heroic!?
Maybe the more heroic Loki become the less heroic Thor will be!?

Same for me. I think it left all the characters in a better place than when it started, unlike some modern runs.

Happy new year to the All Father and fellow fans. Hoping for some exciting stories this year from someone who respects him and challenge him in creative ways.

I saw this link on a thread on the board.
Wouldn’t it be great if it was a Thor mini?
And, would anyone like to see him write the main book again (without the delays)?

I have been reading the Thor epic collections starting with the first volume. I am now on volume 5 so sometime in 1971. Its is really remarkable how many times they basically repeat the same story over and over again.

I actually read that big ass Omnibus of Simsonson run which took me about 2 weeks to complete. Great series, I see why its one of Marvel greatest of the Shooter era. this is coming from a Claremont run fan.

Caught up with the Cates run.

The Venom from that story turned out to be one of the Kings in Black and not Eddie. There was also hints of Blake coming back but I doubt it.

The 2 issues about rescuing Thor's sister have been OK. Want to see what they'll do with Dr. Doom.
