The only "consistency" they have, is their inconsistency.

Batman Wayne Family Adventures 104 is out today and it's another Jason centric episode.
It's a short but charming chapter and I wish we could get back to having some more pure 'civilian' focused stories in the main books as well. I also like the heightened tension we have here given the way this slightly mirrors Jason's original demise.

It really is nice to see Jason not acting like a raving lunatic or with angry issues. It is amazing that current DC editorial doesn't understand that Jason's main appeal is that he is one of the most human among the bats and not just because he is an "edgy badass".
Anyway, McFarlane Toys just announced a B&W Joker with colored accents, so now we know what to expect from the upcoming Red Hood figure.
Turns out it is meant to be taken at face value.
He joins just so he could beat the goons up, threaten them into giving him info about the Joker, and then know where to find them once they inevitably run back to the other villains.
Jason has been written awfully through the whole thing but Rosenberg is the worst of the bunch. There is no nuance, just a perpetually angry and violent Jason doing anything if it means getting closer to the Joker, there is no depth to his character.
Wow, so I was right, Jason has four different reasons for joining Selina now. Unbelievable.
I understand that there have been periods at DC where editorial have been too hands on and too strict and stifling writers, but this recent level of slapdash carelessness has been ridiculous.
I bet 'Jason is helping Selina' was the only foot note passed around. Reasons, motives, context were all up to each and every writer.
I mean, as I correctly assumed from the beginning, Jason was always gonna be the worst one off in this entire event, but even Bruce and Selina are inconsistent in each book as well. How do you have an event where each issue has it's own separate continuity?
I really want to know who the hell thought it was a good idea to have Bruce forcibly brainwash Jason into obedience?
DC really needs a shake-up, everyone working there is completely out of touch with what the readers want.
And, we are also now to Bruce using brainwashing to "fix" people he's supposed to be close with. Don't get me wrong, the "reasons" why writers have Jason opposing Bruce are just downright stupid and more than character regression, its character assassination. Again. Its absolutely bonkers that series like Wayne Family Adventures and Outlaws do a far better job with Jason than main series has in years.
