I think Tynion wrote a solid Zee but I don't want her perpetually sequestered with the Justice League Dark.

It's kind of hilarious to read older pre-Crisis stuff where Zee tried to break away from being the fishnet wearing magician who spoke backwards and look at how much she loves it now.

It's from 2009 Justice League of America 80-Page Giant #1. A fun team up!

Those traits are just too strong for Zatanna as character xd. The design is timeless and just fit and describe her character effectively. Does that breakway about Zatanna come together miniseries? It's really good and underappreciated series but I think the change on her look is too radical and quick for some of the fans

There are certain designs/costumes that creators try to move away for one reason or another that always find their way back to the character because they're just too iconic or entrenched in said characters' identity.

Hello, I wanted to wish a happy new year to Zatanna! Zatanna is one of my favorite DC characters. I absolutely loved her in the Young Justice series, and it's always fun seeing her magic and reading/hearing it backwards. I always geek out when she makes a guest appearance.
